Anyone have a black BRZ/FR-S with these tips? I'd love to see how it looks!

Add me to the list! We're going to skew the Pep Boys inventory tracking.

My local PB only had one is stock, so they've ordered the second one for me and will be in tomorrow. Will install then and post some compare photos.

I ended up getting the oval/flat ones like the original OP, neutron, looks like you got the round ones, is that correct?

I liked all three, but they let me take them out to the car and I thought the 1017B filled the whole a little better.

These don't really increase horsepower and sound output right? They're just bolt on haha..

Yeah I thought about the oval ones but I they had a larger inlet and I wanted to match it as close as I could on the inlet side. They only had one in stock at the Pep Boys I went to as well, but they were nice enough to call around and have another local store set one aside for me.

A little large might be nice but I still really like the look.

They must, it even says so on their website!

  • Resonated tips are to enhance sound output
  • Increase Horsepower
I'm sure it makes it sound like a P-51 and adds at least 60HP.

well, either that or it only improves the look (assuming its a look you like).

I liked all of them too, don't think you could go wrong with any of them.

i did this today also. i bought both the black and stainless - and decided on the stainless -- i have the RAVEN/BLK so it looks fine that way i think. since my rear diffuser already matches the car color -- the contrast is nice.....

i didnt think id be putting any pep boys things on my FR-S .. but these are pretty nice and alot better than the tin cans that came out today ....

What do you mean you did also? That would mean you used the pep boys? But then you say you didn't 😳

sry , too many beers.
i purchased them and installed them today as well - but i did the STAINLESS steel ones.. not the black. those look fine on the dark cars .. i think alot happier than the stock junk . i too had to drive to another store to get the 2nd one -- but luckilly i didnt mind the added 12miles on the FRS !

Looking to pickup a pair of these today. Quick question for those who installed them. I looked at my stock tips on my BRZ and they are held on by one bolt, but one of the other posters said the pep boy tips have three bolts.
Did you find the same thing and any issues installing them?
