Long story short, here's the good stuff, my fastest lap from this year:

[ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u1cMIkV7BXM"]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u1cMIkV7BXM[/ame]

21 seconds faster than last year(which was already a pretty decent lap). It started off as a warming up lap but it turned out to be a very good one, even though there was a bit of traffic at the beginning and tires were cold until Hoheichen.
My next lap was almost identical(8:28) but i was 4 seconds faster on the first half of the lap(due to no traffic and warm tires) until i got some traffic on my way... I will upload that lap later.

I knew i could go under 8:30 and finally got a chance to do it, but there's still some room for improvement without modding the car.

Damn, i miss the place already. I'll end up living there...

Awesome lap! Very nice driving and a testament to what the almost stock car is capable of.

I live only 1 1/2 hours away but still find it too scary looking to try. Especially the Foxhole, I would sh!t myself going 200 km/h downhill there.

Thank you Tor!

Regarding the Foxhole, some may call me a psycho but passing it flat out and braking uphill into Adenauer Forst is probably the best feeling in the world. I just can't get enough of it!

If not a psycho, at least it sounds like you have an addiction problem.

Maybe I should man up and give it a try (but not flat out for me). The GP circuit has such limited opening times. If I had the guts for the Nordschleife it would mean I could drive a lot more often.

You should try it, but you may end up with the same addiction...You have been warned!

Take it easy to start, the key to the Nordschleife is to drive around it as many times as possible, and never get too confident.

Very nice car, also really like your ATS wheels. Nice to see you visiting the Ring and actually driving it, I've been near the ring a couple of times but do not dare to drive on the track

Thanks!

You should do it if you get the chance, if you go during the week there is not much traffic so it's the best time to enjoy driving. Weekends are terrible.

Thank you! Like i just said, if you ever get a chance...do it. The track is just awesome, there's nothing quite like it and the whole experience is unbelievable... It's pure motorsport heaven! Since the moment you get up any week day listening to the different cars testing on the industry pool, or maybe a trackday... Or just going to the near villages like Adenau for some drinks or dinner and watch/listen any sportscar you can think of passing by...Damn i miss the f***ing place!
Since my first visit i knew it's not a place you can just go once...That's why i plan on going every year until i can move there (i live 2000km away, unfortunately).

Regarding the contest, i don't know if i can get the photographer's approval, but i'll try Thanks for the heads up.

Yeah, i was really happy to see the laptime, i wasn't expecting it being this a warmup lap.

I'll leave a couple more videos here, the first one with Sunday traffic but it has a couple of fun momments

And another 8:28:

BTW i got the chance to dyno my car last weekend, just to have a baseline(since it's still stock) for the future.

And here's the result:

Just to compare, this is from a friend's car the same day, with Crawford Power Blocks, KN filter and OFT stage 1:

Interesting. Thanks

OTF tunes need modifications to work properly with the power blocks. Did he do that?

Great videos and awesome driving!

Do you drive with all aids on? If so, do you feel it interfering alot?
I always use pedal dance on track, but the Ring scares me enough (never been...yet) that I'd probably keep them on, atleast on the first few trips...

Thank you!

I turn everything off, but i don't use the pedal dance as it makes almost no difference to me (braking is a bit better but i haven't tested it properly on track).
I might get the new Beastronix 86Nanny PD when it comes out as it makes it much easier, the pedal dance itself is a PITA for me and i just don't bother(or don't remember) to do it every time i go on the track...

Depends on how fast you're going, the ring has so many bumps and elevation changes that VSC goes crazy, i remember doing my first ever lap with VSC Sport and it was a huge mistake even though i wasn't pushing hard at all.
