(For the record, if any non-regulars read this, I am Asian. Oh, and my first name sounds like a disease...)
So that leads to something I have wondered before. Why does everybody say "I am Asian"? Not "I am Korean/Vietnamese/Thai/Japanese/etc"? Asia is a big place with some considerable cultural differences between the different countries. And how many say "I am Asian" when in fact other than appearance they are no more "Asian" than I am since they are several generations into being North American?

They are referring to their race, either Asian(Mongolian to be specific), Caucasian or Negroid.
Wonder no more

Who knows? Your guess is as good as mine.

I just like to play (and make fun) of Asian stereotypes??

My "stereotype" of Asian are: they know martial arts, drift better health, know drifting, samurai's grandfolks or shaolin, own fluffy cat or dog, women are super sweat and humble (not diva). My list can be long but you got an idea. Not all people think the same stereotype for "x" population

I get the race thing but it isn't said so much race as a cultural reference. "I am Asian so insert stereotype here".
Doesn't matter it was just an idle curiosity I had and I wasn't looking for earth shattering revelations or anything.

Nope, "tolerance" implies something wrong. Not really sure what a better word would be though.
