HINT: If you still have your BRZ (or like car) in your 70s and you go to roll out of it, and get your foot stuck between the door and sill and your body flops out and you do a half roll, just reach under the car and shake something ..... telling the bystanders that you are just checking for a rattle ......

I turned 49 in July. Aside from the car my parents let me drive in high school, I've never owned a car with an automatic transmission.

Keep rocking the 86 - these things are very special little cars.

Just found this interesting thread. At 54 I can say that I hope the desire to drive something that puts a smile on your face never goes away. It sure didn’t for me.

The key to maintaining that smile is to make sure you have something around that makes you grin. For me over the years it was a 65 Mustang, a 69 Firebird, a 240Z, a Fiat 124 Sport Spider, 85 Porsche 944 (dd for 7 or so years), a Mazdaspeed 6 (dd for 5 years), and my current smile maker – a 1989 Vanagon Syncro (4X4) Westy Camper.

The BRZ I’m searching for now will be the next chapter in putting a grin on my face.

Good luck finding yourself a twin. For once, a minivan that's slower than the twins

38. Almost 2.5 years with the car. Still love it. Working on first kid. At least a child seat will fit in the back. The wife's "mom" car is a Nissan Juke Nismo R with Recaro seats, and she wants me to lower it a bit to get rid of her wheel gap. In about a year it will be Fast N Furious - parent edition...lol

Well the moderately quick and mildly annoyed parent edition at any rate.
