I hope you do track your car otherwise you are going to look like a complete douche.

(personal opinion - to each his own)

Its just a matter of time before some one rices out a FR-S i can assure you.

I am planning on doing the exact same thing just as a tribute to Initial D

To be honest this post was mostly to gauge how people felt about the whole thing and if any one else liked the idea. If the general consensus is decals=bad then I won't even consider it. I just liked the idea of having the FR-S be the first car I customize and maybe giving it a little custom flare to make it more "mine" but if putting something on my car made it detestable then I can't bring myself to do it.

Also, while I do like the designs that were posted here, I was originally considering something more subtle. If at all possible, the design I really want is supposed to look like a katana, without being a katana. More stripe than anything if that makes sense? Curved, maybe with a smaller line that looks somewhat like a hilt without being one. The reason I'm so specific is because I wanted to avoid the negative reactions I knew would come along with wanting to put a custom decal on my car. Sword=too much, sword-like line=acceptable, or so I was hoping.

Don't let other people affect the way you feel. You just spent 20K+ on a car, it's yours to do what you want with. I'm personally not a fine of large designs, but if you do something subtle like your saying, i could see the possibilities of it going really well with the lines and feel of the car.

It's your car and your money, but I would recommend that IF you decide to add graphics or stripes to use Vinyl, because if you decide you don't like it or want to sell the car, it's not permanent. A good vinyl wrap will last 5 or more years depending on how well you take care of it. Many people have already begun vinyl wrapping their roofs, front bumpers, adding stripes, etc.

Understandable. My comment was more for hahas than anything else. As long as something is done with finesse and care it can do from rice to nice.

Ultimately the decision is yours.

I have and will. Additionally-- even if i didn't track it, it wouldn't look douchey to me. If it did to some people though, i wouldn't care. There will always be naysayers.
