For those who already bought the new 86, were they able to haggle the Dealership for a deal or does it still fall under the Scion Pure Pricing crap?

I fully understand many like the new look and some that didn't have had it grow on them but I am sorry to say that I find that bumper uglier every single time I see it. I am in no way telling others not to like it and it is purely my subjective opinion but there is not a hope in hell I could live with that thing. Sorry again to those that like it. It is me not you.

You're being far too nice, Tcoat. It looks like shit...

It wouldn't stop me from buying the car though. Lots of 13, 14, 15 and 16 in the scrap yards lol

Let's not forget aftermarket too.

It is definitely growing on me. The oceanic color looks quite good.

I think I could live with it if it weren't tfor the way the whole grill angles into the bottom and then it has that cow catcher lip shelf sticking out about 4 feet on the bottom. You are correct though a bumper swap would take care of that.
Or if for some reason I had to get new right now I could just go to the dark side and get a BRZ that actually looks good this time around.

I am embracing the new look as a function over form mentality being these changes were made in the wind tunnel by Toyota for Aerodynamic reasons. Now with that said I am really liking the 2017 BRZ, its sort of hard to pass up on the Performance Package for 1200 bucks tbh I am not sure why Toyota still will not allow consumers to have more of what they want with this car with options at least!

Next year. They were pretty clear that the 17 would still be monospec but the 18s could have different trim levels.

Seen my first 86 ! Not 100% sure about the new front bumper but really love the new headlight, tail light and interior.

Sorry Toyota, but you've just fucked up what was a good thing.

I can only read about how the new car/cars drive. Maybe that will be enough to convince me to upgrade to the 2017.

Can't wait to hear many more real life experiences about how the new car actually drives. After all, that's what it's all about.

Does it drive better ? Sounds like the steering has not really been improved. Can't really see what changes have been done to the transmission...as the official statement does not state any gear ratio changes within the transmission itself...though the rear end has been changed from 4.1 to 4.3. And seems there's still a glitch in revving the 'improved' engine.

It's unfortunately still a wait and see for many of us.

Personal note: It's a 280 mile drive for me to get to a Dealership where I can drive the new cars (86 and BRZ)...so hope to find more answers here soon.
Ok listen, it's not a 40k BMW nor a Lexus, at least it finally has a badge that should've been here since 2012. I never understand the complaints of the interior geez folks if you want better interior there's a reason why there Benzs, Bimmers and Lexus and guess what you cough up more money. And this Subaru is better because of better interior

It's not bad just messy in my opinion. But I'll gladly take those tail lights.

I agree, I think the interior is an improvement. The interior is functional and simple straight forward perfect for this type of car.
