#1148/1500, bought her 6/16/16 and I live in Orlando, MT.
Was wondering if anyone had sound clips with out exhaust and some aftermarket EL/UEL headers. Also fun fact, the previous owner was 64 y/o and traded it in for a brand new Z06 vette! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Also does anyone know where I can get another oem trim piece around the shifter? Previous owner took the plaque off it and moved it to the center console and replaced the trim piece

Check ebay for salvage companies selling parts from totaled cars.

Rs1 # 1227/1500
Here is my Rs1 1227/1500. I purchased it in July 2015 from a dealer in WV. Now it lives in Pittsburgh PA.

I was checking out the new Rs2, style is okay but a bit boring in my opinion, at lease comparatively to the Rs1. I get reaching out to a different demo, but I hope the car does not lose its identity like some other vehicles have over their EVOlution. IMHO of course. I think that the Rs1 has the potential be a bit of a collectors item in the future, as it was the first release edition under the Scion FR-S moniker , and with Scion going away soon to be simply Toyota, that adds to its story. Maybe in 20 years a low mileage original may bring $....and maybe not ?

most yellow color shades tend to fade, as the years roll by (UV sunlight cannot be stopped, even with the finest wax, etc). I will always lean towards going with a ligher color car (white, possibly silver depending upon the car(not truck). Darker base colors tend to be a sun of a gun to keep up week to week. I dig the RS1 exterior color in general (not a standard yellow, different is good), however the kicker is what I said above plus it's too much of an eye catcher (loud) in terms of police picking you out of a group of cars to ticket ...and/or too much attention in general (even more so then Red, lots of different Red cars/trucks out there..... red was pretty much my #2 favorite color pick).
RS1 had more exterior add ons (as you know). RS2 had both exterior (less so then the RS1) , and interior upgrades. I'd say the RS2 has the nicest Toyota/Scion interior I have experienced up to this point in 2016 (not including Lexus). Last edited by Adam_L; 09-05-2016 at 05:58 PM. |

I dislike the redesign and for the asking price of the new 86 the RS 1.0 is and was a better buy. I'll keep my RS 1.0 thank you.

Color fade can always be brought back with a good polish via DA. Take care of your vehicles paint and it should last quite a long time - and that's with any car. My car is personally vinyl wrapped on top (roof) and most body panels covered with paint protection film (porous), so I do expect the color to stay intact for years to come.
