Edit: First oil leak was from a timing cover seal failure. Same issue for current oil leak.
Frustration with a repeated repair is perfectly normal and certainly acceptable but from your own comment it would appear you have another agenda which may be making you over react to what really is a minor issue.

Yes I am frustrated because my twin is my only daily driver. Sure the work is covered under warranty but that's why I got an extended. But is it so bad to have another agenda? It's only a thought if more problems arise in the very near future.

I recommend you drive your car into the ocean preferably at night with no cameras or people around so no one sees what happened and then report it stolen

LOL my car leaks, I'm going to inact the lemon law to get rid of it. If life were that easy. If you are that tired of your car trade it, but they will laugh at you when you say you want a lemon law buy back because you had a leak

Consider it all you want. No dealership or manufacturer is going to buy your two year old car.

OP: Bring your car back and get it fixed under warranty. You do not apply for the lemon law, you are just frustrated at the reliability of a non-drive ability related failure. If it bugs you, trade it in on a new one with the exact same gasket (down to the part number.) Or maybe an ACTUAL Toyota product, like a Camry.

If it does not bug you, keep driving like nothing ever happened. There's a decent chance the tech did a bad job installing the gasket, or didn't clean the surface correctly. Express your displeasure that it's a return visit with the same issue to the service writer, and they can be sure one of their most competent techs does the work to see what the root cause is.
If folks (like you and @KendallH in this case) would inject the words "some" or "most" in your statements more often, I figure it would save lots of butt-hurting ......

Ive also have taken it in for various TSB recalls like the AT hard shifting, HPFP replacement for the crickets and Idle hunt issue.

In short I have an extended warranty and I love my car but I've been having a lot of issues with it. Plus I've kind of been eyeing the new 2017 BRZ. Would appreciate any tips or opinions. At this point if Toyota re-applies the gasket and fails a third time I'm gonna be pissed.

Edit: First oil leak was from a timing cover seal failure. Same issue for current oil leak.
Perhaps you should actually figure out what a lemon law is in California before attempting to reference it:

https://oag.ca.gov/consumers/general/cars

Quote:
The “Lemon Law”: A special provision, often called the "Lemon Law," helps determine what is a reasonable number of repair attempts for problems that substantially impair the use, value, or safety of the vehicle. The "Lemon Law" applies to these problems if they arise during the first 18 months after the consumer received delivery of the vehicle or within the first 18,000 miles on the odometer, whichever occurs first. During the first 18 months or 18,000 miles, the "Lemon Law" presumes that a manufacturer has had a reasonable number of attempts to repair the vehicle if either (1) the same problem results in a condition that is likely to cause death or serious bodily injury if the vehicle is driven and the problem has been subject to repair two or more times by the manufacturer or its agents, and the buyer or lessee has at least once directly notified the manufacturer of the need for the repair of the problem as provided in the warranty or owner's manual or (2) the same problem has been subject to repair four or more times by the manufacturer or its agents and the buyer has at least once directly notified the manufacturer of the need for the repair of the problem as provided in the warranty or owner's manual or (3) the vehicle is out of service because of the repair of any number of problems by the manufacturer or its agents for a cumulative total of more than 30 days since delivery of the vehicle.

The "Lemon Law" presumption is a guide, not an absolute rule. For additional information, see the Department of Consumer Affairs publication “Lemon-aid For Consumers", pdf.
