And as I said in the other thread on this.
For anybody that thinks this is a straight bolt in swap:

No one is thinking that.

Also VQ35HR is shorter in height by 4.5 inches than the VR38DETT
Plus you can get a dry sump or modify the sump to drop it even lower.

Oh dude you have been here long enough to know there are plenty of people around that would think that! I can go pull about 20 threads right now where people come on and think it is an afternoon in the laneway to do an engine swap. Besides I was half joking anyway.

Of course there are shorter engines but that is not what we were talking about here. They obviously made it fit but it is going to be so far away from the average guy's budget that it may as well be a unicorn. It is damned cool though.

The first time WTF posted this in the What Did You Do To Your FR-S thread, I was pretty intrigued. I still am, but now I'm wondering who is going to be the next person to put in an engine that costs far more than the car itself.

Off-topic, I wish Nissan would put a VR38 into a Z34 so we could get a modern 432. Or maybe a 432R.

My two cents: if your going to do an engine swap just go V8. More power more torque from the get go, same amount of work/money as dropping in a V6...kind of.

But unless there is a turnkey harness for it and the dry sump kit was more affordable I guess it just wont happen.

VQ35HR from either a 350z or an infiniti G35

It looks like a RHD car as well, likely to be an Australian car.
