It looked like the processor wasn't powerful enough. So unfortunately it looks like if we want Android Auto, we'll have to swap out our head units, which is definitely a shame as I use Waze almost daily.

As a side note, I checked out the Ford navigation system a while back and wow, that thing is impressive! It even has weather overlays on the maps!

Your phone acts as the main processing power for it though. I can't imagine you need a whole lot out of the displays. And it says on the android auto site that Subaru is coming soon.

Yes, Subaru has Android Auto on their new head units in the 2017 Impreza but the current Clarion systems do not qualify. Android Auto is not simply an app but more akin to a whole operating system interface which uses quite a bit of power from both the head unit and phone - which is why the phone has to be plugged in for now (and it gets really hot).

Maybe in time Android Auto will become much more efficient and find a way to integrate into more systems but I kind of doubt Subaru will go out of their way to offer us major upgrades like that. They'd rather just sell you a new car when the time comes... But here's to hoping it's still possible!

A question mainly aimed towards those that live in Ontario. (Others feel free to chime in though)

What was your guys OTD price for those that have ordered? What should I expect to be paying after negotiations?

Hmmm maybe well be able to swap or get the Toyota pioneer head unit, I believe those are car play and audroid auto ready like most of the new toyota. I'll have to look Into it.

Newbie here. I placed an order for my son's Limited AT WRB 8/24 with few accessories but my dealer never gave me Vehicle Order Number (VON) but after several excruciating back and forth email call from my dealer they we're able to provide me only Sold Order Number (SON) which I cannot even use to get an update from SOA. I'm from Central Jersey. Do any of you from this area got provided with a VON?

Hey there, my assumption is if you didn't get a VON it's because your dealer might not have ordered the car and has to trade another dealer for a car to your specifications it is too late to order a car for the first batch of arrivals for the ones that are coming this month and to late September. I have heard of this from some, people ordering. They can't give you a VON when they don't know what vehicle they'll be able to get, or if they can get a hands on an AT WRB which I think might be rare since most of the first batch of cars is white. My advice would be to tell your sales that once he knows what car is going to bring you to give you the VON which will have the VIN and ETA. If you're having a bad time with the said dealer, it might be better to call around to see if there's a dealer that's already going to have a car of your specification already being on route to lot. This way you just deposit and drive away once the car arrive. The process of this current dealer trading might take a little longer, it also might mean they may put a couple of miles on the car to get it to their lot. They may also truck it over but I not too sure the process of your dealer.

Also they might have just already ordered the car , but they haven't been able to get a release date at port or an eta so it doesn't generate a VIN for a VON.

Good luck, also the others will probably chime in but this is my take on the situation.

I just spoke to my dealer, car is on the lot and will be ready for pickup tomorrow afternoon. Pretty good considering my ETA was the 12th. Also, everyone that I've seen pick one up so far got a WRB, mine is CWP.
