I have agreed value on the fastback for 20k and it's not enough money to strip it down and redo everything I've spent the last year working on. The transmission is an FMX and it's rare as hell and parts nearly non-existant and I had it rebuilt 3 weeks prior to the flood. The entire wiring harness is new as well as the electronic gauges and interior. Just had the radiator re-cored and dozens of other things I don't have the money to fix. Not just that but the house is not livable and I wouldn't have a place for it. It would just rot and die in storage. I've been working on it most weekends with my dad as a father son project and we were about to have it inspected to drive. The fuel tank has water in it and so does the engine, transmission, and rear diff. I can't see myself redoing the last years work, it was just so much.

Too bad. Somebody will get a hell of a deal at the insurance auction then since none of that is insurmountable. That old stuff can take the water way better than to new.
True about the house taking priority though.

I cannot fathom what you're feeling right now.

Incredibly sorry for your loss of two beautiful pieces of machinery.

I made a Toyota sombrero badge for the steering wheel, but didn't care so much for it. So I went another direction...

Cool idea! If only I hadn't just ordered a license plate relocation kit from AliExpress for $17...

As far as the video goes, you've got to fix the focusing issues on your vlog portions. If that's your camera on AF, it's missing terribly and hitting the area behind you; maybe go MF, preset the focus, and keep the camera at a fixed distance from you. If you're going with a really wide aperture and shallow DOF (because garages are dark and bokeh is pretty), then you've got to be more aware of how thin the DOF is and at what distance that is from the camera.

Personally for videos I've done (not car related) either personally or for work things like training videos, I reshoot those scenes. Not to be mean but those obvious things make it look amateurish and bring down an otherwise interesting video. I like the overall grading and colouration of the video (reminds me of old film stock), but the out of focus section was just ugh.
