I was at the beach the other day (Wasaga beach here in Ontario, which would look like a dumpster filled with sand compared to some of the actual beautiful beaches that some of you probably live close to).

I was taking some pictures of my car on my SLR, minding my own business. Some sun-worn dude with tons of tattoos was walking by. I'm crouched down in front of the front corner of my car taking a picture, and as he walks by, he says under his breath (but loud enough that he knew I would hear him) "your Subaru looks like a Scion".

I laugh, thinking he is making a light-hearted joke, and say back "dude they're the same car".

He barely breaks stride, doesn't even turn his head back, and replies "yeah and they're both shit".

I shouted after him "yeah, but you're walking! So..." but I don't know if he heard me.

WTF.

Later that day I was in the McDonald's drive-thru in the same town, waiting in line. A family comes out of the restaurant and the youngest kid snaps his neck at my car, grabs his brother by the arm and exclaims "WHOA!!!" while pointing at my car. I watched this all in the rearview mirror and gave it a couple of revs for him while he laughed excitedly. His older brother barely looked up from his Pokemon GO.

Also had an employee in a drive-thru last week ask me my opinion of my car, as he was thinking of getting one, and comparing with a Genesis Coupe. Even as a car salesman at a Hyundai dealership, I told him to buy this and never look back.

"They're both shit" the only people who make these remarks are the insecure and jealous type. Guarantee he drives a '91 Corolla or a '13 BMW 5 series and is filthy spoiled.

Reminds me of Chris Harris with his 1957 Citroën 2CV. Have to down shift to 1st to climb a 5 degree incline, and he loves every second of driving it.
