That's the only one that will really fit with a charge pipe that mates to OEM Airbox location. I looked into this ages ago for the Sprintex. Just a shame to pay loads of money and then bin most of it.

Removal of the bumper is dependant on how easily you can get the snorkel out by bending the top of the bumper.... it's a PITA

Has anyone fitted an aftermarket radiator with the Cosworth intercooler?

Since adding my Oil to water cooler, I have noticed at the track that coolant temp no long stays 82-85C and seems to peak at 91C after long straights (25C ambient).

So its either hood vents or a bigger radiator.

I assume a thicker radiator will affect airflow through the cosworth intercooler and therefore increase IATs.

This thread by Velox may be of interest to you....

On the subject of bonnet vents, I still haven't been able to bring myself to install the Velox vents, but instead have gone with the Beatrush vented under tray. I'm quite happy with it, whilst my car isn't tracked, I have noticed drops in temps . Where my oil would hit 112C up the mountain its now around 100C . Highway cruising its around 90C. I am currently not running an oil cooler and my sensor is reading at the filter so would be a bit cooler in the sump. Additionally my IATs are now only about 6C above ambient where I was previously 12-15C above. My coolant is also down. You might find some benefit as well. .

Did I not mention the Beatrush Panel to you? I had issues locating one in Japan though, might need to speak to an importer as it's not listed on many of the parts websites.

You might have but I don't recall. I've emailed japex to see if they can help.

So did you get one in the end?

The Velox radiator is insane! I figured when I upgrade mine I would get the Mishimoto. I still want to get the Beatrush under panel. I feel like that would help. The Velox hood vents seem to be great but I can't justify cutting into my hood.

So I was wondering if anyone else is having this problem.

I was cleaning my car the other day and I noticed some substantial cracking on the exhaust tips of the Cosworth/Nameless 1.1 catback... obviously this won't hinder performance, but rusting sure aint cool, especially on such a visible component.

Thoughts? I know that others have had problems with cracking welds and such from Nameless.

there's been 1 or 2 showing this

if you bought the system within a year then Nameless should replace it free of charge

Thanks Matt! Is this issue common/documented?

What's up guys... So I bought my BRZ back in April and will be looking to start buying parts to mod while it's parked for the upcoming winter.

After a bunch of research on FI kits and exhaust packages it looks like I've ended here. The whole complete stage system from a reputable source, while an ideal (at least for me), it is not very cost effective from top to bottom (as has been talked to death, not the purpose of this post whatsoever).

I love the look and sound of the Cosworth catback. I feel like the additional cost is worth the quality comparatively to other systems -- and it sounds great when combined with the stage 2 package.

I love the sound of the 0.2 midpipe and 0.3 header combined with the catback, but at over $1k and $2k respectively I would like to hear what else people are using in place of the Cosworth header and midpipe combo.

Not to be discounted is the level of research and testing put into the Cosworth tunes that come out of the box, but saving as much as $2000 up front I'd like to believe that I could get a great custom tune supporting other exhaust components and eventually supercharger.

I am hung up between the ease and faith in their in-depth testing of their products as a system, or slightly modifying their system and leaving my faith with a tuner. Help!

The Cosworth (Nameless Performance) exhaust is a great overall setup. I believe there are some better exhaust manifolds on the market now compared to the Nameless ones, such as the ACE header, but otherwise, they all perform about the same. As for the downpipe, I don't see how one is better than the other so long as the inside diameter is the same (2.5").

What I did in terms of exhaust was as follows: Nameless Performance header (bought from someone used), Tomei overpipe, Nameless Performance front pipe, catted & resonated, and the Invidia Q300 catback. The reason I didn't get the Cosworth is because with the full set up, it's far too loud for me since I daily drive my car, but I didn't want to lose the benefits of the rest of the exhaust set up. With my exhaust, I'm running a tweaked Stage 2.3 tune from Cosworth and have no issues now. I'm sure Matt@Cosworth could square you away.
