I bet it was earlier than expected because the first 2017 BRZ shipments had an ETA around September 6th.

I must be seeing one of the later of the first batch cars, the one I'm looking at is coming in at 9/26 with a release date of 9/14

Does that mean your dealership will be getting some orders in early as well? I would assume if one dealer nearby already received ordered vehicles then others in the same area would also. Is that how it typically works? Dealers share the same transportation companies that may drop off one allocation and move on to the next?

Correct, I got mine earlier than expected.
I was originally quoted end of September, then I got a call saying it had been shipped and gave me the VIN and an estimated date of the first week of September, then I got a message saying it was at the port a week earlier than expected, then later the same day was told I could get it today if I wanted.

So went from End of Sep, to first week of Sept, to "maybe August 31st" to August 26th

Oh cool, I saw that they were people in Texas posting their cars on Facebook and that cars have started to arrive in West and Central. Haven't seen anything here in the East coast, I'm sure we'll get news soon when it becomes around 9/6

Not sure if you can see it,from the FB privacy thing. But it was on FRS/BRZ/GT86 Enthusiasts. and the person that posted the pictures his location was fortworth TX. Link will be sent via pm
