Yeah, I definitely made that request a few weeks ago with my rep. I'm even contemplating on texting him not to even gas up the car lol I hope they don't take the car out for a joy ride just cause it's the refresh. I will be furious if I see that car higher than 8 miles 😤

Did you decide if you're gonna do the STi wheels at least? Maybe you can grab those at a discounted price and have them leave the others out of the deal. Also, I take it that you're leaning towards the BRZ since it's coming sooner?

Here has been my experience so far, the new 86 is rolling out at what seems to be like the FRS mono price, I keep having dealers tell me they can't do invoice etc because Toyota will only allow for rebates on the new 86. And it's just MSRP This might just be my experience so it might not even be true because numbers have not shown up in the systems yet. So don't take this to heart for 86 people, looking for 86.

I have a family friend at Subaru, he's willing to deal with me to give me the best deal, so is the other person I know whom I rec a couple of our forums member to. After calculating the price of the 86 and the price of a BRZ limited. I found that I could get the BRZ at a reasonable price and if I push my limits a little I can afford a car with better items.

So no brainer, I don't need PP

BRZ limited is the way to go. Waiting for these two dealers to figure it out to give me the best price. I have seen paperwork for one of them.

Limited with popular package 1 and that's the car I was talking about before.

And I might be one of to few of the early adopters that's not buying it in White or WRB lol

Just thought I'd post an update...
I just got mine today! No performance package of course, but I'm fine with that. It's an absolutely stunning car!
The pictures don't do it justice.

The dealership I dealt with was Steven's Creek Subaru in San Jose and they were fantastic every step of the way! If anyone in the Bay Area is looking for one, I recommend Shane very highly. Made it really straightforward and easy for me.

Awesome you're in the bay area too! Congrats.

My salesperson on the other hand never updates me until I personally ask which is annoying.

Thanks! It's still so exciting!
My salesman was awesome! Always called or texted to keep me updated and everything! Where did you order from?

I ordered from serramonte subaru. When did you place your order? I placed mine exactly a month ago.

You guys missed me! I'm right in between Serramonte & Stevens Creek.

Although, our BRZ allocation has been pretty weak lately...

Haha if I knew about you before I ordered from serramonte i would've checked your dealership out. Was literally scouting the prices and they accepted my first offer...so I didnt get to visit many dealers.

I placed mine the day they opened up preorders, which was about a month ago.
It was right around when they announced the pricing, pretty much.

Carlsen Subaru?

I went with Stevens Creek since the salesperson was super on point and actually seemed interested in selling me a car (Capitol Subaru still haven't tried to let me know I can order one) and it's very close to where I live (I'm in central SJ)
Also, I got a really good deal and got the price I was looking for off the bat. No push, no silly games going back and forth. Easy, quick, simple.
