I'm surprised it is essentially the same price as the Canadian BRZ Sport Tech ($100 less). Except no leather seats, no dual zone climate control, no multi-function display in the gauges (from looking at the picture), no start\stop button with prox key, to name a few.... I don't get it?

Also, what is with the old Scion spoiler they are offering as an accessory? It's not the aluminum one!!!

I'll be getting the 2018 BRZ Sport Tech - and hopefully the Performance Package is in Canada by then.

I never saw that one, but there was a different really lame one that I saw a couple of times.

So i pay $370.00 a month on lease with no down payment on my frs with the following terms.

3.9% Interest
60 Month Term

This new one with the exact same terms and interest.

$445.00 a month.

$75.00 increase a month, am I not calculating something properly here?

If not...this is really expensive.

Something wrong someplace. A $900 price increase certainly does not come to $75 a month.

If the price in the website is real, here in canada, the price increase is 2000$

What a rip-off. Like someone said, it's the same price as the BRZ limited...

In my eyes, there really is no point for someone to be purchasing the "new" 86s in Canada right away. They are hella dumbed down...

I'm starting to re consider the 86... might just have to go with a BRZ for roughly around the same price. Unless Toyota can give me a banging deal which I highly doubt even if im part of their loyalty program.

Even here in the U.S. you get an even bigger bang for your buck now by buying the BRZ Limited over the 86. The ~$2000 difference between the two over the previous MYs was still considered a good buy because of all the extra goodies; especially since Subaru dealers were probably more willing to wiggle on price than Scion dealers.

It's down to ~$1400 now, and even though the BRZ doesn't have the headlight advantage anymore, it still has (standard over 86):

Fog lights
Rear spoiler, the nice aluminum one now. Hopefully the U.S. gets this one optional for the 86 (Canada got shafted! unless the picture is wrong).
Heated Seats
Dual Zone climate control
Information center thingy in the instrument cluster
Push Button Start
Heated Side mirrors (unknown if this made it to Premium / 86)
Alcantara trimmed interior

I unno, I was pretty much set on getting the Toyota, but it seems like anyone who does their homework between these two are going to pick the BRZ; in either trim. The premium is cheaper if you don't mind a slightly less flushed out interior (regular cloth vs. Toyota's GranLux or whatever), and the limited is basically a bargain now for how little more it costs over the Toyota.

Suppose there's still more to learn on the Toyota side of things, but I'm putting my money that their mono-spec car is going to be roughly the same as a Premium BRZ, just as the Scion was.
