If a new rotary ever comes to fruition I will jump ship but because I was part of the rx8club boards for about 6 or 7 years I'll just let you guys know that stuff like the pops up regularly so I would not take anything seriously at this point. Concepts don't mean reality, the 16x rotary concept was displayed years ago but will most likely never see the light of day.

Still think its ugly due to length. Make it 2+2.5 and you got yourself a cross shopper here.
I wonder why they have waited so long though? The RX8 wasn't all that.... ;/

At $77k msrp, this will face tough competition in that segment (Cayman GTS - $75k, F-Type Coupe S - $79k, Corvette Z06 - $79k, TT-RS - $70k, etc.)
Mazda might be better off dropping the price under $50k and being the only sub-3000 lbs. coupe in the $30-50k range (if they can keep the weight down). Decent chance too if this is based on the Miata chassis the way the RX8 was.
