Just ask to drive the car once it's delivered. If you don't like the way it drives, you can just back out. It's not like you're totally committed already, right?

@Veloist, when orders arrive at port do you get an automatic system update notification or are you checking customer orders everyday yourself? Just asking cause I want to make sure my dealer is staying on top of my order and I don't have to worry about bugging them weekly lol

It's manual so I check it every day. I'd imagine a salesperson would check at least every other so they know when to contact you ASAP if they wanted to earn your business or get a good score on the survey lol.

So I get an email from the dealer across the street from me saying that someone that might want to look at has come in. Looking at their site it seems they have an AWP 2017 with what seems to be the accessories package already delivered. I already had a dealer quote me $600 under MSRP so he is the go to at the moment but his order doesn't have a shipment date other than September. If this dealer offers me the same deal than I'll probably be part of the club tomorrow.

That would be awesome if the dealer had received one.

Earliest date of arrival i've found is 9-06-2016. There are vehicles on trains already.

Subaru normally gives about 5-10 days of overestimation. So 9-06 can really mean 8-28 or 9-01

You know at least around here in Toronto, everytime some hyped car comes out the dealers don't allow for test drives. BRZ was the same I had to get a test drive at the Toyota/Scion dealer with the FRS. Not to mention how the doors are always locked at the autoshow when the car is new.

I wonder if one loses the deposit money if backing out once the car is delivered.

Double checking the website it says that the car is in transit, but when he emailed me he definitely said he had a BRZ I would like. Maybe he was just trying to get me to go in. I'll see what happens today.

That's a second video of the refresh with decent in-car audio in which the engine sound seems more refined and pleasant - maybe those upgrades have made a difference with that, I recall one written review noting this as well.

Hopefully by the fall some GTA dealer will have one to test - Subaru was horrible in that respect on the initial release.

Hmm I'm noticing some different in the video with the Spanish dude and the white BRZ from what I saw in person with the yellow Series or the Japanese brochures. The area around the HVaC and switches are piano black on his video and not carbon fiber things like the WRX or like the Japanese BRZ, I was hoping it be the carbon but maybe that's an accessory package for us, that piano black is gonna be hard to keep clean.... I like tho looks classy

I put a deposit on my monogram. It was totally refundable. I got it fresh off the boat.

You guys gonna make me do translation job in Sat morning? Man, aren't you guys cold-blooded. lmao

Summery ver:
He said that GT grade (US would be PP) is totally different than R & S (in US would be Premium & Limited). Even '17 R/S model, it's way better. He really enjoyed how they setup the suspension. Specially around the gap, he can go through the gap without worrying about flying everywhere. Instead damper quickly respond and keep the car stable and turn in is very quick as well. From street to track, you can have fun with this setup.

Now translation is done, where's my cookie!
