Yes, back in the old days, black horse/mustang was only rode by shogun or higher up (example:織田信長,大正天皇).

Have toyota said that what they're showing is whats going into production.. or is this simply another concept car?
previously it was released that the car shown at Geneva will be "near production ready."

But this is DEFINITELY NOT production version with all the cf
could be close! just use plastic in place of the CF. let's wait on judgement of the lights until we see the whole package.

edit: WOW!!!!!! just seen updated pics...... Actually sad to see its all carbon fibre..... There is no way that its the ft we will be seeing in show rooms in 2012......

Will look amazing but i was really hoping this would be the final version...... Fingers crossed when the vail comes of its not to far gone and is actually similar to the final product...

That awesome shot makes it look like a $80,000 AUD semi supercar.......

Guys is it possible toyota have totally led us astray and wat we thought was looking to be a $50,000AUD celica/ae-86 inspired car has now become a $70,000 to $90,000 supra

inspiration???
man, your posts just annoy me. SETTLE DOWN. toyota's not going to say "hey, we're making a great $25K car" and then try to sell it for $50K. i wouldn't be surprised to see the production version very similar to what's revealed here.

unlikely it's a G's version. and yes, yes it can.

However, if the expected base price of this car continues to rise, they're gonna have a helluva time trying to market it in the 'Scion' lineup of cars.
where on earth do you see anyone with authority saying the base price of the car has risen at all? not ALL cheap toyotas are scions. the Yaris, for example.

What if the styling is horrible and it's not going to be the small ae86/corolla etc etc replacement we all hope but some sort of bling-bling pose-mobile for the newly rich??!! Aarrghhh!
shut up. this isn't toyota's first rodeo. they've built some extremely good sports cars before, and there's absolutely NO REASON for this post.

Its one of my biggest fears too.
could just be different proportions, and not necessarily a longer front, just proportionally longer. no reason to worry until they release specs.

iono bout u guys, but i'm most concerned about the headlights, cuz i loved the evil looking headlights on the original concept, but hated the goofy genesis looking headlights on the teaser. i guess we'll see...
you'd better explain yourself. genesis looking headlights??? really??

Apart from all the carbon fibre and standard vented brake discs i think this will be very similar to final production.....
incorrect. there's no reason for a split second to think this will be that expensive. where do you come off spouting this BS at us?

nope. the G sport concept was advertised as such. this one is advertised as FT86II. nowhere about G sport anything.

depends on the overall car, i'd say. some MR2s look GREAT wingless. some M3s look awesome with wings.

New poster here.

Just a tid bit on the latest photos.
(1) Longer nose - re-designed FR bumper
PROS: More aggresive looking, better dynamics (FR Spoiler lip), Carbon fiber fins/lip.
CONS: Longer vehicle more weight, Carbon fiber fins/lip means higher price range.

(2) Flared wheel fenders
PROS: Muscular looking, looks tougher, looks a bit wider, may allow wider wheels to be fitted.

CONS: More weight, looks closer to GTR and 370Z.... which means higher price range?

Other than that, the wheels look nice, although if it was me I will get aftermarket ASAP... Volk/Rays/Work etc for a more race car look.

The brakes look bigger too, its a bit discouraging in terms of weight gain, why does it need bigger brakes if its a very light car.... I'm just hoping the weight gain is under 100kg.

14,500 is the currently R6 but the pwr drops off way before that. I had the 06 R6 and Yamaha got hit with some legal issues when they originally claimed it redlined at 17,500. They offered to buy back the early production models and destroyed the ones owners actually brought back.
