FLEX Z Question w/ OEMAUDIO+

Hey all,

just curious if anyone has installed the new tein flex z coils with an OEm audio set up. was told if the sub has the cutout for the cusco strut bar customization then it might fit the struts that come out in the back? input would be appreciated!

I've got a customer running the Street Flex with Teins EDFC system; so probably the most protrusion into the trunk there could be. He also has the OEM audio+ sub in the back. The sub still fit over the EDFC motor at the top of the strut. Only the front securing bolt for the sub was threaded in to mount the sub, but he hasn't had any issues as far as I know. I imagine the Flex Z will fit just fine as well.

There is more than 16, but anything beyond 16 is gonna have minimal change on damping

Is it 16 clicks from full soft or 16 clicks from full stiff that are the "most adjustable"

Maximum damping (full clockwise), and then backing off.

So has anyone installed Tein Flex Z coils with a standard OEM Audio sub (i.e., without the cutout)? Not sure if The idea of leaving some of the sub bolts loose to make it work is a good idea.

No problem with a Pioneer TS-WX710A, vertical on the back of the rear seats. Even with the EDFC motors.

Damn you for showing me something I never realized I needed in my life! My current setup is not bad at all, but the lack of bass has been eating away at the back of my mind.

Pics please? I am more than happy with my OEM Audio+ SL Series, but my fiancee wants to get something for her BRZ that is a lot cheaper.

Edit: And something that doesn't cost $275 to ship to the U.S. :S

It's heavy and huge, it means high transport fee from Europe to US...

See the protections for the EDFC motors on both sides : U shape metal with plastic protection on it.

I've got Flex Z with the OEM+ sub mounted. Fits perfect.. plenty of room for the adjustment knub to fit behind the sub.
