I've been meaning to post these for a couple months but here are some pictures of my Billet Pro Shop 300 series shift knob.

Google returns some for mustangs. Is knob's thread the same as ours?
Does it also sit lower then stock, like TRD's knob?

Yes, the current and previous generation Mustangs use a M12 x 1.25 thread for the shift knob just like our cars do. When ordering from Billet Pro Shop you have a choice of 5 different shift patterns so you just have to pick the one that matches the FR-S/BRZ.

It sits a little lower. As you can see from the first picture the knob is shorter than stock. Because of the nuts used to get it to line up correctly I don't know if it threads down quite as far as stock but the overall affect is that it is lower than stock. Maybe by about half the difference in height between the two. Honestly I don't think I can tell the small differences in height or weight but I like the way it feels in my hand a lot more and I think it looks better than stock.

It's wonderful. I came from a car without one but loved them when I had a rental car (I travel quite a bit) so I was always jealous of the one in my wife's Prius. I never thought I'd be jealous of anything in a Prius.

Burn-your-hand hot in temps over 95 degrees.

Smart people keep little microfiber bags or hats in their cars to throw over them when not in use to keep the temp down.

Hmm. I thought that smart people value function over form and go for delrin/leather/hybrid knobs instead of buying billet ones, then extra bags/hats to make burning or freezing metal more tolerable.
