Name This Band

Or don't...I'm bored though. Hint...90's through now, biggest in the early 2000's I guess? Don't quote me on that. And, biggest hint of all, my favorite band.

And I didn't know what it was called, so I just looked it up. The top 4 genre's they're in are art rock, alternative rock, post grunge, and experimental rock. Now, if I'd heard of a band with those genre's, I never would have listened to them, so I don't necessarily agree, although I have nothing better.

And not to throw it off, but the big ugly fat guy is me, not part of the band.

Well, THAT didn't work out so well! LOL

Anyway, that's Blue October and if you accidentally ask me about them you'll probably get a 3 page long reply!

They sing Hate Me, Into The Ocean, Calling You, Bleed Out, Ugly Side, etc....

Pretending someone might care

The bigger question is what is the guy in the back doing to you (I presume you) that resulted in those facial expressions?

Tcoat, there are some things I'd just rather not talk about. Besides, they're rockstars, right? They get to do what they want, right?

I said I didn't want to talk about it!

My therapist said it wasn't my fault.

Well rock "stars" may be a stretch. When back at home I will show you pics of the bands I used to get to chill with. A whol different world.

I might surprise you.

I may be younger than you, but my dad (not saying you're that old) had this game with me with his hundreds of records on his record player. He'd play a song and I had to guess artist, song, album....Years of that. Hated it at the time, but I've got a great passion for classic rock, and other types from around then I can't think of what kind of music they'd be called.

You should expand your horizons Tcoat. I'd behappy to recommend even just two Blue October songs, that if you give them a shot, I bet you'd like them. Especially if I know what your favorite music is!

Oh you misunderstood. I mean bands I actually hung out with. I would wake up with whole bands sleeping in my house. My son worked with about 6 bands in the late 90s and early 2000s. I have drank all night with Bif Naked and Weird Al and partied with 100s of others that are well known in Canada but I am not sure how much exposure they had there.

Open my horizons you say? My favourite artist at this moment is Marilyn Manson who I got to meet when one of my son's bands (Die Mannikin. opened for him.
I also discovered the Visual Kei genre on here and have amassed quite the collection of videos and songs which are slowly becoming my favourite.

There is very little musical horizon left for me I think.

Are you sure the guy on the far left isn't doing a side project from Rammstein? The resemblance to Paul Landers is amazing!
