Here in Canada they are VERY strict about automatic firearms. When you are carrying they must be concealed and with the safety on! Scared the crap out of you Americans that were all here at the Carribbean Festival last week. Can't bring their weapons over the border, left them at a huge disadvantage. Haha, I am so full O'shit!

M1 Garands use en bloc clips. Another type called a stripper clip can be used to speed-load magazines. But, magazines are not clips. |

Gum.
In all seriousness, it's probably for a iphone 5/5s. When the FRS came out in 2013 that model was the one available and as phones grew larger, that slot does not fit. |

In reality it wasn't "made for" anything in particular. It is just the left over space from the cars that do not have push button start with a box crammed in it.

When the vehicle was designed in Japan, the iPhone was still a small minority of the Japanese market. A Japan spec flip phone was the norm and most models would fit in there very nicely.

I put my company work badge in there. The slot is even smaller in the RS 2.

Lint trap
To date the Samsung Galaxy S2 flashed on CyanogenMod was my favorite phone, I bought it a few months before the 86 came out and I believe it would have tucked in there perfectly. I agree with everyone else, at the time it was cell phone sized but was obsolete about 2 years in. Which for those with short memories or not enough fingers, was >2 years ago. Fuck time flies. For me it serves the above purpose of trapping crap and being difficult to clean. |
