Here's how my dealer's timeframe is looking. Normally Subaru never messes around when they say a car is to arrive in the month it is initially predicted to arrive.

The non-performance package (option 1) has an earlier arrival month.

I'm in California, SF Bay to be exact. Should be noted that these are the only two we were able to order. Normally we're given more (~5/mo) so I assume they're (Subaru) saving allocations for the Series.Yellow or just reducing production.

Some interesting reading on VONs. Would appear that not all regions are created equal. Unfortunately also seems to indicate that the "expected delivery" is not all that reliable.

Mine is in TX. My order was submitted on 7/21. So I'm hoping mine comes by mid-September.

There were other official Subaru press releases that said March (which could be considered "winter" in someplace) so I would not be holding my breath for one.

EDIT - Found it. "The 2017 BRZ Premium and Limited models will begin arriving at retailers in September while Performance Package-equipped and Series.Yellow will arrive at retailers early 2017.

March sounds most likely.

The PP would certainly have a great advantage if you track or want the "race car" look but has zero benefits for daily driving so if that is your plan then doing without is no hardship.
