Logitech G27 steering wheel and pedals. I don't use it as much as I should but it did help me learn how to not stall a car.

Edit: The game helped me learn the fundamental basics of manual transmissions that would be akin to learning it by text or the very basic driving instructor.

No it taught you how to not stall a video game. Unless your game set up is on a hill, in the pouring rain, with a semi 2 inches behind you and people zipping by all around you you have not learned how to not stall a car.
