In Europe, not in North America. The AMC Eagle and Chevy Vega wagons were correctly referred to as Kammbacks as they were based on the research of the German aerodynamicistWunibald Kamm.

I like the shooting brake I think they should slightly lengthen the rear a bit kind of like the Ferrari FF so it would look a lot more aggressive the short base makes it a bit too feminine, CRZ mixture of CT200h rear offspring.

Exactly, correct term is "86 shooting brake".

It looks that many Japanese like it. First time to the public in Japan.

Agreed. If it were a hatchback it could actually retain most if not all of the coupe shape (Think GEN3 Camaro, which was technically a hatch).

I would have loved if the 86 had been a hatch, I would have traded off the weight for the extra convenience. This shooting brake thing, at least in this design, is awful IMO.

I'm a huge clown-shoe fan, but I feel like the proportions are just a little off on the 86 SB. I did a quick and dirty 'shop that adjusts the lines at the rear which look better to me (and would make me seriously consider a trade) - whether or not anyone else agrees anyway.
