On the highway I had one guy stick his head out of the car he was in and shout out "nice car!", an evo driver gave me a thumbs up on the freeway, a guy in a mr-s also gave me a thumbs up and everywhere I park the people who walk by it stop and stare and keep on staring as theyre walking a way.

I got a bunch of thumbs up from guys on bikes. Been pulled over twice just to be asked about the car and I get a lot of people driving by spotting the car slowing down and driving around the car taking pics.
Oddest one so far was when I parked my car at a local college and came back to find 3 guys (scions) posing their car around mine doing a photoshoot.

Had a guy in a pick-up yesterday checking out the car so hard I'm sure he almost wrenched his neck as we passed each other a couple of times waiting in traffic. He almost ran into the car in front of him at a stop light.
Overall though, the reactions seem to be dying down a bit. It may be because I am traveling in the same pack of commuters every day!

Had a guy in a Miata last night on the way home honking and waving and giving me the thumbs up.
Everyone that sees it in person loves the styling and everyone that gets a ride is impressed with the ride quality and handling. |

Someone at a Trader Joe's parking lot that parked next to me asked a bunch of questions. When I finished shopping, I found the same guy checking it out, up and down, and all around. Also had someone in an R8 at a stop light telling me how she wanted my car, and a Porsche 911 driver at a parking lot tell me how cool my car is.

my friend got an automatic in Lava red (I'm waiting for mine MT pearl white), in Montreal there is a spot called Orange Julep where car enthusiasts gather up every Wednesday
![]() We show up, the focus shifted almost instantly, guys with old Ferraris just tripping balls, others literally dissecting the car from top to bottom. Some guy walks up to us and after a while tells us that he's always dreamed of a car with Ferrari looks and a bit of Alpha madness coupled to Toyota reliability. I refered him to my local dealer and told them to mention me as a contact ! My saleseman calls me 2 days later telling me the guy ordered the car. Sweeet !!! |

I've had a few people ask me what car it is, a lot of broken necks, and the funniest thing happened last night while I was fueling up next to an rx8, a blue suv passes by behind me and tells the guy in the rx8 "that rx8 will always look better than that white car over there" referring to my fr-s I'm guessing since it was the only white car around, then he said "honda will always make better cars than toyota". I didn't get a good look at the guy, because I didn't bother to turn around (too busy being amazed by my less than 40$ premium gas fill up), when I did it was to get back into my car and I saw a confused look on the rx8 owners face, I smiled and drove away.

Anyway, on my way home today from work. I had a guy in a Dodge Challenger following me and filming me while driving. It was quite funny, looking in my review mirror and seeing the guy with his phone out on his steering wheel. |

The women in my office love my White FR-S--they think it's super cute and very fast-looking. The men, too, love it, but don't call it cute, of course.
I had a couple of guys who thought it was a Nissan, then got up close and were really surprised to see it was actually a Scion. My mom thought it was cute, but too small to fit kids in, lol--and I'm not even married yet, only engaged. My 7 and 9-year-old niece and nephew do fit in the back seats, albeit not incredibly comfortably, haha. Lots of neck-cracking, a some other people pulling up and sidling alongside me to check out the car. Also, when it was down in my fiance's parking garage at work getting a wash and wax, all the luxury car owners getting their cars done up, too, were checking out my car--according to the detail guy anyway when my fiance went to pick up the car after work.

A couple nights ago someone in a nicely moddified S2000 tried to race me on the freeway. A guy I work with wanted to race me in his G35.

Came out of a store this past Saturday and 4 guys were crowded around the BRZ. They were driving an older Subaru, said they had 200K+ miles. Anyway, I gave them a tour of it for at least 10 minutes and let them sit behind the wheel, popped the hood, etc. More than they'd been able to do at any local dealers.
The driver was crazy enthusiastic, thanked me and shook my hand before they left. I loved seeing someone else just as excited about the car as I was. |
