Damn some of you guys list is long as hell.

2010 3.8 Track Genesis Coupe(first Hyundai to impress me and feels like the G35C S but lighter)
2008 335i Sport pkg(overwhelming torque but planted feel and great steering)
2008 328i Sport pkg(I like this engine better than the 335i as it had the right power for its weight)
2006 G35C Sport pkg(I was grinning like a mad man and hated the fact that I had to go back in my RSX)
2004 Nissan 350Z(Mind blown)
2002 RSX(steering and firm feel is the only thing going for it)

I probably define "fun" differently than most of you. I think its because I consider myself more of a 'driver' than a 'car guy'. I just love the entire experience, open road, stopping along the way, carving through the mountains, hours on the interstate, its all good to me. I probably should have been a long haul trucker...

I'm the same way with flying (I'm a private pilot). I am qualified to fly aerobatics, but I'm just as happy taking a C-172 and flying cross country, straight and level for hours.

Anyways, here are the "most fun" cars I've driven, in chronological driving order, not including the FR-S, which hasn't had the history with me yet to join the list (although I'm sure it will):

  • 1957 Chevy BelAir with a Rocket425 engine. My Dad's dirt track car. Used to drive it when I was 12 on a closed track. I'm pretty sure he ran moonshine in it too, but have no proof!
  • 1969 puke Yellow Corvair. The car I learned to drive a stick in on country roads in KY visiting my Grandmother (the owner). They had a matching color Ford F150 my Grandfather drove with 3 on the tree.
  • 1965 Dodge Polara with a push button automatic transmission. First car I ever paid for myself. $300 sold it for $450 two years later. Had a lot of fun in that boat in high school
  • 1983 Honda Silverwing GL650. The perfect sized touring bike. Drove it all over the Southeast, sometimes 12 hour days. Honda should have never converted this to a scooter.
  • 1983 Camaro Z28 with aftermarket Targa top. I thought I was a rock star.
  • 1985 Toyota MR2. My first 1st86 experience since I bought one of the first in the US. Don't need to say more about that car.
  • 1989 and 2001 Chevy Astro. Honestly one of the best family cars Chevy ever built. Between them I drove enough miles to literally get to the Moon and back with almost no issues. Nearly every family travel memory I have with my wife/children happened one of these two cars.
