Yep, I agree, as they say down south here "if it ain't broke, don't fix it".

Back-on-the-farm, we had this old 1937, steel wheeled, Oliver tractor. I asked my father one day if I should change the transmission/differential oil.

He said ..... NO. I said I can't remember granddad or you changing the oil in it. He said nope, I never have. I ask why not. He said his father never did .............and the tractor runs just fine. Leave it be.

He said, now get out there and keep hand hoeing the foxtail out of the corn field ....... and quit trying to find a shade tree job!

Yep. Mind you I have also changed the oil in a perfectly running 60 year old Fordson tractor that came out looking like spoiled chocolate milkshake so not exactly precision machinery we are talking about there.

Engine oil needs to be changed often because of all the crap that collects in it. Sealed systems not so much.

The first and second change for me was bad. Last time after 33k it looked new still. If you do hard driving Id say it prob needs to be changed. Commuting I'd probably just do it at 50k cuz its cheap.

Working with a site in Moscow tomorrow and just realized that the only things I know how to say in Russian are "vodka," "thank you," and "goodbye." This should end well.

Those three words are all you need.

I know people say our car is slow, but does anyone else feel like everyone else is going in slow motion when they drive their twin?

Spent two years in Germany and left being able to order a beer a jagerschnitzel or ask if you want to dance. Didn't hurt that pretty much everybody there spoke English or French though.

That's pretty random.

On the subject of MT and diff fluids, Tcoat is on point. There's no reason to go into the trans or diff to change the lube.

The iron/steel dust that collects on the mag plug is normal. The magnet is doing its job. Much ado about nothing.

Ride with my wife driving. Even the Prius will look like a race car as it fly's by.

You could pass my wife with a bicycle about80% of the time. She is morphing into the classic old lady driver.
