100% of the cars that pull up next to me at a red light are not going to have 1000hp. 100% of the cars that pull up next to me with that wing will get laughed at.

I got that all the time, either bro that respect you,,or asshole that talk shit about it.

There are many times people roll down their windows and said: "hey wanna race?"
I mean really? On a PUBLIC road? Then i turn them down, and then they feel like more superior.

Brings to mind my early "rice burner" days, yep, bought new, back in 1970 ...... that little sucker was bullet proof and could climb a tree, if you could hang on.

Still got that puppy ...... buried down in the basement .. somewhere...

On a time attack car it is not rice. On a street driven one it is.

You may as well get used to people saying it since they are going to. I have driven lowered, winged, loud cars that have never seen, nor ever will see a race track for many years now and embrace my inner ricer. I like the looks and don't give a crap that I am not using them for race purposes and that it offends some people that I don't. Non functional mods are the very definition of "rice" and a big wing on a street driven car will never be functional (if driving within the laws) no matter how much HP you put out.

I actually looked up "Rice burner" on Wiki cuz I've never heard of the term until the mid 90's when I started to have Internet.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rice_burner

"Rice burner is a pejorative, used as early as the 1960s, originally describing Japanese motorcycles,[1][2][3] then later applied to Japanese cars, and eventually to Asian-made motorcycles and automobiles in general.[4] The term most often refers to vehicles manufactured in East Asia, where rice is a staple food.[5][6] Variations include rice rocket (referring most often to Japanese superbikes[7][8]), rice machine, rice grinder or simply ricer."

I hope so. Bring great walking shoes, a few days of time to look. It's absolutely amazing!

I'm a total nobody, but I got to shoot the shit with Mario Andretti for almost ten minutes while he waited to go sit at his conference and autograph signing.

Great moment. I was in awe.

I make up 112% of what I say.

Ya I know that the concept can be hard for young guys to grasp but Japanese cars used to be very very VERY rare especially in Canada. Most of the "car guys" back then held them in total contempt with their 4 cylinder engines putting out 50 or 60 Hp and the term rice burner was even a bigger insult than ricer is today. It is important to realize though that the muscle cars of the same period put out a whopping 200 to 300 Hp with an average weight of close to or even over 4,000 pounds.
It didn't help that the first decade or so of the imports were simply not built for North American conditions and all but fell apart after just a few years. In 79 I bought a 74 Celica and it was in about the same condition you would expect to find a 20 year old beat on car now.
We were pretty sure that this whole "Jap crap" ( hey it was a different era) thing was a passing fad and they would pull out of the NA market at any time. We were wrong. So very, very wrong.

The STI spoiler is too large. From googling the "nur spec frs spoiler", I'd say it is ridiculous.

Each to their own.
