What works best for 1/4 mile is going to be bad on a track, and vice versa.

Imagine Track and Drag are two end of the spectrum, what you really want is something in the middle. This middle ground normally is what I call a "Fast Road" spec, or something similar to a "Tarmac Rally" specs. It is a spec that need to be soft enough to work well on uneven road surfaces, but stiff enough to provide good steering response for occasion spirited driving / track usage. So that is what I will look at first. The MeisterR ZetaCRD+ will do that job and do it well, as that is what they are designed to do. There are other option of course. But whatever you get, the first thing I will do is contact the supplier to confirm what are they design for, their specification, and what type of support do you expect to receive. Because a damping adjustment is useless if you do not know what it is adjusting, so you got to make sure those info or at least guideline are available, or else you are just blindly turning a knob with no idea what it is doing. It is about getting the best for your budget as well as your usage.
Dual usage can be a bit tricky, but one thing I notice is that a lot of coilovers have way too hard of a rear springs for the FR-S / BRZ platform. That reduce rear grip out of the corner, reduce ride comfort, and also reduce squat which is something you want in a drag setup. It will depend on what you are after, and I won't say one is "better" than another as many time it is a big claim with no quantitate data to back it up. Decide what you think you want from your budget and I am sure we can help out. But a good adjustable damping coilovers setup will be much nicer than springs, both in ride quality and performance.
