No I have not experienced any crazy road noise. Had these maybe over 5k miles now and they are pretty much the same as when I got them noise wise. They are pretty quiet actually.

Yeah, tire rack is good at times but most of the time your local tire shop has better deals installed. Always ask the local shops.

And by they way, I'm not a fan of MPSS. For the same price tire rack sell them for you can get a way way way better tire that that pos MPSS. For some reason lots of folks here got suckered in by the dealer or tire shop to "upgrade" to the same brand tire your car came with. It's a classics move they do to people that don't know tires.

I figured the Primacies would be vastly similar to MPSS because they are the same brand. But a lot of people spoke highly of them which is why I was completely okay with MPSS. What would your recommendation be, as I have 0 knowledge regarding tires. My used '13 just came with Ecsta 4x type IIs xD

Based on OP's needs, the answer is dead simple:

Find a set of OE Michelin Primacy HP's that someone is dumping off a fresh car, sometimes that means picking up a set of wheels to, just swap the center caps and sell yours for less, at most you might be out $350 to get into a set of Michelin's that I put 30k miles on (including 2x track days and a couple autocrosses) and they still had life left. Relatively quiet, back to EPA fuel economy, take a beating and keep on ticking. I wouldn't be surprised to hear that DD only Michelins on an 86 lasted to over 50k miles.

The point wasn't that they wear faster on the street than the track, the point was that unless you want the extra grip for autox/track use, the faster wear trade off for grip is a waste.
