@NyC Zn6 Its easy. Here's how to change your cabin air filter in BRZ / FR-S / GT-86:

Unhinge the glovebox by pushing in both sides of it, but support it from the bottom because it is also held in by a couple tabs in the back. Lower the glovebox about 3 inches and you'll see a white panel that is removable with two tabs, the air filter is there. Note the side that points UP.
