I would believe it.

Yes and probably a request by SOA to sell Premium and Limited and not the base model since they don't have the dealer network or presence like Toyota.

Why even call it a package when it's really a trim level (and advertised as such in Japan I think).

The performance pack is about $800 less than I was expecting. Not bad at all.

Most likely it's to increase ASP of car, as well as package performance items for cost w/ higher value car to make back money.

Makes sense, the PP is priced almost at their cost. $1195 is the cost of a brand new front big brake kit...

Damn shame really. Don't need leather seats, dual climate, prox key/start, or a spoiler that will need to be removed if I want to go fast. Oh well. Let's see how much the brakes cost as parts after they hit the catalog.

Maybe once they are for sale as replacement parts and assuming the brake bias is the same. I'm guessing it will be a lot more than $1200 for both the front and the rear though. You would also need wheels that clear them.

The lack of updates from Toyota on the 86 is frigging annoying. Another conspiracy theory, they're holding off on releasing any info in order to get rid of as many remaining FRSs they can.

Yeah its sort of maddening, car comes out this fall and they have no information via Toyota.com or really any press releases minus when they announced the car at the auto show.

Damn, that is a laundry list of really nice additions and fixes. Wish they happened sooner, but proves they're listening.

The nice thing is that the creature comforts, bells, and whistles should drive more sales by casual buyers and hopefully keep sales up.

You can't order the PP for our old cars, otherwise that sales literature explaining all the beefed up chassis enhancements would be double talk bs.

But I'm sure you can just order the brakes and suspension at the parts counter.
