I reckon go with the date more than the status. I don't think their system updates are very reliable. It's more just something to mull the time over lol.

my sale rep told me to expect delivery in jan 2013 and my online tracking only says order placed, production - to be confirmed. (ordered a Manual Red GTS)

anyone on the same boat for the long wait?

Pretty much the same, ordered an orange GTS this week, dealer has said he has been told its a oct build for dec delivery roughly, but the dates will firm up in July.

I have also heard that not all WA dealers have the web tracking. Anyone in WA have a web tracking number?

I paid up on the 6th of June (over 2 weeks ago) and my tracking says production to be confirmed also. My contract says september build though. Im hoping the tracking info is behind (it says on the site that it can lag behind actual info). Im going to be pissed if I have to wait til January!

weird thing is that i haven't firmed up on my driveaway price... my contract technically says I got the car for $0.01 ... sales rep is away for holiday so i guess i'll have to talk to him about it when he gets back.
