And i'm just here like fine take out those extra 4 cylinders you got then lol. Those M5s don't play, I don't know if that's the V8 one or the I6 models but I respect BMW for still using the I6 engines. And that makes me feel so good to know that he got his ass handed to lol. |

Had another "CRMB" with a Speed3. I was on my way home, cruising normally and saw the lowered Speed3 ahead on my right. I intentionally creep up slowly to his side, just to see if I can trigger something. He saw me and gunned it, cutting off a few cars and disappeared. I just giggled and continued cruising home. This car is truly a CRMB magnet hahaha..

Had a slew of "Come Race Me Bro" encounters last night just driving home. I was literally just down the street from the turn to my apartment complex.
Here's how it happened. I was at a light that sits at the end of a short bridge that arcs up and over a canal. At the light, I am the second car back in my lane. In the left lane there is a Camry at the head of the line and an old GMC Sierra pickup. It's exhaust is rumbly like it has an exhaust leak, and my window is right at the tailpipe that cuts out to the right of the back fender. Out of nowhere, he revs like crazy, and I look over at him to see his passenger leering out the window at my wife and I. I put my hands up in a "what?" gesture and he revs again. I shake my head. He revs. The light turns and he goes to take off, but of course there is a Camry in front of him, whose @$$ he rides so close he may have actually been in the car's back seat. It rapidly moves up and gets out of his way and he goes screaming up and over the bridge. Meanwhile, I'm way in the back, just puttering along. A second or so after the truck's tail lights disappear over the bridge, a 370Z (VERY nice looking, white with black splitters)comes along side, driver looks at me and revs as we are going along, and then goes screaming over the hill. At this point I am about halfway up the bridge-hill and come out from behind the car in front of me and take the left lane. I did this because the car in front of me was going painfully slow, and because I needed to turn left a little more than a mile up the road. As I crest the hill, there is the Sierra to the left in the turn lane of the light at the bottom of this side of the little bridge. As I pass, the passenger yells "Yeah, b****!". I just drive away quietly. At this point I am passing an E39 540i. I look over at my wife to lament the general disposition of the truck driver and his passenger and make the mistake of making brief eye contact with the driver of the 540i, who then makes like a certain storied bat from a certain Stygian locale. He has an AWFUL sounding can on the 540, which is a shame because those cars can sound really crazy awesome. Again, I do not react. I did way too much stupid stuff as a kid and got away with it. I'm not going to give the universe a chance to cash in all those blank checks I wrote that easily. However, the BMW does not go to far ahead of me and then cuts into my lane. We pull up to the light and he gets into the turning lane I am getting into. We end up both pulling into the same apartment complex. He goes one way and I go another. Because my apartment complex is managed poorly, however, all the parking spots and any legal curbs are taken at our building, so instead of prowling for a space there or backing up, I decide to just drive back around to the front of the complex and park in front of the office. As I have said in other posts, the muffler delete I got is loud. It is a custom job and I really love it, but it crackles and burbles and snorts and does those great "glug glug" noises, and it is never more apparent than when cruising at low speed around a parking lot. So as I creep around the back of the complex I see the driver of the BMW and his passenger getting out of the car. He sees me and throws his hands up and makes what I can only describe as a duck face as he motions to his car and does a "shooing" gesture at me. And it is at this point that my inner child finds a way into my legs, as I push the clutch in and give the engine one good rev as I pass by, making both he and his passenger jump. I laugh, cruise around to the front of the building, and park. Night over. I feel childish, but more than a little petty vindication. |

"WHY WOULD YOU SPEND MORE MONEY ON THE SAME CAR!?" And I've also seen kids try and "drift" and do those peel outs in their scion... I had one guy who said his BRZ would smoke mine and he modded the engine and I was like uhh okay since I have a full headerback and a 93 tune I was interested in what he did.... Turns out he just has a super expensive catback and an expensive I think grimmspeed intake....and the best one.....LIGHT WEIGHT CRANK PULLEY. So yeah lol I've met a lot of Dbags driving the same cars as we do, I drive like an ass too so I'm not perfect and my LOUD ass exhaust isn't helping at all when I drop a gear and switch lanes to pass this driver on his/her cellphone. Nothing wrong with a mustang, I just hate them because of the typical stereotype |

True enough. There's a couple of people like that around here as well. Or they act really aloof and distant. There are some really cool twin owners here, I have discovered, but there is one in particular with a very modded car that acts extremely distant and very rude. This person, and her significant other, both seem to look down on a lot of the other owners in the area for not dropping the kind of money they have into their car. I keep thinking a particularly uncharitable, and frankly disgusting, thought, which is "I wish we were getting the GT350 while we still lived in this area, so I could pull up next to this punk, just once", but then I'd be the guy in your story, and become an a**hole myself. The saying is true. They drag you down to their level. I still love this car, though. God, it's good. |

Last Saturday I was coming home from work and had a CRMB encounter but I didn't know it at first. I was actually just trying to get in front of this WRX so there was no confusion that I was there first. There's 2 lanes but I didn't want the other guy to try and cut me off either.
There's this s-turn at a light before getting on the highway near my work. I love to take that corner hard and slide the car around a little before I bury the throttle to get on the highway on ramp. As I got up to the light to go right (I have a yield lane, I don't have to stop), there is a WRX coming from the other direction taking a left. I punch it to get in front of him before he gets to speed. I got to the intersection way before he did. I take my normal s-turn hard right (nothing crazy, no tire smoke and not enough for the TSC light to come on) then left and punch it. As soon as the road straightened up he was in the other lane around me and gone. LOL, my FRS is slow in a straight line! It's fun as hell around the corners though. |

Got two great ones from yesterday.
At light, see aggressive Matte Black C6 a few car lengths behind me cutting to get to the light next to me. C6 driver: nice brz Me: thanks man, nice corvette C6 driver: do you want to race? Me: Hell No! C6 driver: C'mon man I'm only running 300hp, i have an exhaust leak. Me: I'm good man thanks. Light turns green driver guns it...I'm sitting there confused. Second interaction At a gas station buying a drink. Guy approaches me, "hey is that your BRZ." I told him it was. He then asks me if i had a buck to fill up his tires. I told him no. He then asks me if i want to race for 20 bucks. I politely declined and he begins to tell me his car runs 12s. We chatted for a minute and i walked away somewhat confused. Strange interaction indeed. |
