BRZ interior or FRS exterior?
Hey what's up !?! My names Leo and I currently have a scion tC. I am for sure getting either the BRZ or FRS. I live in Miami and here that's what they offer. I'm on a waiting list for both. If I could get a gt86 I could because I think it's the car that has everything I want! But I feel like they went cheap on the inside of the frs and went blah on the front bumper of the BRZ. So what's your take on this subject? If I could have the front bumper on the brz switched with the frs I would love it. The brz has the push to start which I love and all buttons make it look nice on the inside plus who can complain about standard NAV? The frs's AC knobs looks like they took it from a yaris...
so can you guys give me more assurance why would I choose one over the other? And one more thing. Will scion have an answer to the BRZ STI? And when will they come out? |

Well personally I went with the BRZ because I wanted the HID lights with the LED lighting and I read the tuning on the BRZ's suspension is a little bit better than the FR-S's, and in person I don't find the front to look blah at all, though when I was going by pictures I liked the FR-S's bumper over the BRZ's, but I guess I can't make a really good decision till I see an FR-S in person and look at them both side by side.

Seems there are a lot of folks complaining about standard NAV in other threads here. You may want to review those if it is a major decision point for you.
I have no dog in this hunt, my decision has been made and I'm happy I made the right one, but thought you might want to consider it. |

)It kind of sucks it's so bad because it means I likely won't be able to sell it to an FR-S owner when I swap it out which I was planning to do before even finding out how bad it was. |

I'm more Toyota than Subaru Didn't care about HIDs or the Navigation unit Didn't like the frontend or interior of the BRZ I also was one of the 1st86 which played a minimal role in the final decision but was a deciding factor since that minimized dealer crap and quaranteed the price. |

THE question, branding aside, is cost:benefit. Having the car you like to look at is easy to decide. Then, what is the total dollar outlay for the car you want, adding up any add-on or r&r's.
My preference was the FR-S whiteout AT. Initially I would have paid for leather, but now I appreciate the interior for what it cost as the right decision. I despise non-functional doo-dads, so stock is good enough for my taste. I even appreciate the Panasonic! This is my first paddle-shift and is great in Sport around town. I'm getting into autox to refine my skills, having been off the rr track for over 40 years. On fast flat thruways the mileage is already 35mpg or better thanks to overdrive. I've owned plenty of cars and none before Toyobaru was more pure fun. Bottom line is, you guessed it, I don't think you can make a bad decision with these vehicles - IMO. |

Had push start, smart stop and keyless in my 2010 Prius; these features have no place in a sporting car, in my opinion. In my opinion? I have to laugh when I remember the funny by-wire gear selector. I don't want that either!
