Yes, the Black Premium MT was in the lot. It looked in good condition and there was a big SOLD sign behind the glass. He even mentioned that there was some allocation/model swapping between another dealer to get your BRZ. It was parked next to a WRB Premium AT that they got in. I went to Faulkner because I got tired of Apple York's vagueness. I definitely had a better experience at Faulkner. They were definitely more knowledgable on the BRZ than Apple. The salesman at Apple didn't know it was Dual Injection, had a sound tube, or even that the cars don't really have any "options" at that point, just accessories. I hope the GBS BRZ I ordered comes in before the LR BRZ I put a deposit down on comes in. The LR one was a car another customer backed out on, I imagine because of the rediculous wait.

ive been hunting for a wr blue pearl brz and have been emailing dealerships. seems like everyone wants me to place an order...
but after reading this thread, i think i might just look farther and pick one up instead of waiting weeks and weeks just to be disappointed... or should i just do the frs with the college grad rebate? hmmm decisions.... |

It depends on certain things. Do you like the basic trim level of the FR-S and/may do your own mods to it? Or is the extra $1000 and longer wait worth all the stuff the BRZ comes with? It's all preferences. I saw the list of features of the Limited, liked the looks a little better than the FR-S, and decided to get the BRZ.

Something is better than nothing. Looks my "October" ETA was unfounded as well. The SoA must've been blowing smoke up my ass. The second dealer I went to said there's no way possible to get an ETA without a VIN. Anyone ever have to deal with John J. Mergen at SoA? Seems like kind of an ass.

And "Jessica" was supposed to email me weekly with updates on my VON... that's been sporadic. Idk... it seems like the info you get varies widely depending on who you talk to. Btw, I work in Middletown, live in HBG during the week. Good to see another local BRZ buyer! |

So I called Subaru today and after finding out my car yet again had no new update, I talked to the guy for a little and all he could tell me was that they got a bout a hundred BRZs being shipped to dealers on the west coast and another hundred on the east coast by the end of the month. Also he said they are trying to get 3-5 batches shipped per month
I guess some news is better than none, but still would like to hear those magic words "your car has a VIN"

I imagine the "July ETA's" are the batch by the end of the month. I tell you what, never buying another Subaru after this one. THey're damn lucky the car is as amazing as it was hyped to be after I test drove the salesmans personal BRZ.

I suggest either calling around (if not pre-ordered of course) to see if there are any available near you. I was casually looking on their website and hit the "view inventory" and turns out there was one available near me (all options and color i am looking for).
With that in mind, it depends on the dealer and who you want to deal with. While tempting for me (especially since this dealer is 2min from my house), I ultimately don't want to give that dealer my business and have already settled on another one close to my work. So it really just comes down to how bad you want the car. Whenever I have called looking for test drives, they tell me expect January, but I think this will be for whoever orders one now. I fully expect the people who have been waiting, to get it before Jan. |

The problem was that there was a dealer relatively nearby, 70ish miles, but he wanted a nearly $3k markup, which is rediculous when all other dealers I've dealt with charge MSRP.
