Kudos and respect to the organizers, Larne & family and the Tokyota Crew,
The day was superbly managed!

You guys rock

It was a great learning experience for me as I had the chance to follow a few BMW inland championship cars around track and getting a taste of their lines,

I started of the day with 2m30s - Due to the GTR I was behind in cruise mode :-) ,

And cut it down to 2m25.5s later in the day which was mostly due to

1) Improving driving lines (Going wider with late apex) and
2) Late braking (after the 50m signs - those brake markers are overrated, do we really need them? lol just kidding)

Footage on this highlight video was on my first session,
with poor driving lines and early braking, but none the less entertaining

Like SABC radio stations - I have committed to 90% of local music in my highlight videos going forward ...
Sound track by Apple Gule - In Your Life

Video of my quickest lap of the day, made a mistake to check if the camera was focused on the road, so its super blurry as its focusing on its phone stand.

Hope to see you guys and more new faces at PetrolheadsForPets 2017 and other open track days!

:b urnrubber:

Very well done!! I agree on the 50m markers, they are very overrated.

Braking into those corners coming from the main straight is frightening to say the least, according to my stats I'm pulling -1.12G there.

That's excellent, and especially so because I remember how you sounded at Petrolheads 2015 when I braked a bit late.
Now you're the master of late braking.
Quoting you from a year ago...

My friend @JouMaSeHoes sort of said it's OK for me to put up these videos, so I hope you enjoy them.

The first video is trying to reel in the Bumble Bee after getting way behind showing someone else the lines, and the second short video is dive-bombing the Bumble Bee which gave me much pleasure. And gave my passenger, and Bumble Bee's passenger some brown stains. Wha-ha-ha!!

However, the purpose of sharing these videos is quite sad because I think it'll be the last time. The stats say that the Bumble Bee will inevitably be quicker than me, and I think that's going to happen sooner rather than later. So, here's to most likely my last conquest of the Bumble Bee before being left in the dust. Boo-hoo

You, sir, are selling yourself short. It will be quite a while before the beastie can hold you off.
