I mean, that's pretty much what I expected. I have the FR-S for enthusiasm. Whichever old car I end up with will probably be a garage queen/Sunday cruiser. If it sees twisties, it'll probably be for a slow cruise.

I am still on my quest for the perfect weekend toy.
I have very specific requirements which make it difficult though.
I want a 68 or 69 Dart GTS with the 440 magnum engine. Now since they only made about 700 of them there is little hope that I will get a real one (not in a price range I am willing to pay at any rate) so I am going to have to settle for a clone. I normally abhor clones but the reality in this case means I will have to settle. Now as much as I would love to build my own I no longer have the space or the equipment to do so and that means I will need to buy a built clone. If I have to settle for a clone that somebody else built you can bet that I am going to continue my search until I find EXACTLY the right one!

Not for me it isn't but the wife would have a different opinion. I can probably find a very good clone for less than half of that. I want to be able to pay cash for whatever I get and that puts anything over about $30K out of reach. I am patient and there is no rush so I will just wait and watch until something prefect comes up.
Now if I wanted to take out a loan that very one would be in my laneway right now!

Havent you been financially responsible enough of your life to say fuck it and just get your perfect car? I mean you other car loans have paid you so it all balances out

Holy shit, all the job hunting memes are true. My four year college degree and fives years of work experience are utterly worthless. How the hell am I supposed to get more experience if no one ever hires me? This is getting ridiculous.

All of those experience requirements are bullshit. Just apply for anything that interests you, and dig deep into your personal network for referrals.

Oh we have loads of toys that are still being paid for so I have to reality check myself on one more. I can not in any way justify a loan with the interest that it brings to buy a car I will drive about 30 days a year. Remember around here I will actually be able to use it a couple of days a week for about 4 months of the year.

Accounting/finance. I do ignore requirements and apply for jobs that interest me. I've been doing this for five years. The answer is the same no matter what the title is or what the requirements are. I am always runner up to someone with more experience. I apparently interview very well, but it never saves me from that one pitfall. I'm so sick of being told they went with someone with more experience.
