Brand New Stoptech Sports (Front) and Street (Rear)

Hey guys and gals. Bought these pads and some fluid as I was planning on upgrading the brakes. Decided I don't really need to do it at the moment and am not going to need pads for awhile. Looks like on tirerack you're looking at $115 for both. Willing to ship for $100. Pretty firm there as I could always just hold onto them until I need them. Would separate if I have two people interested.

Why two different compounds?

For that matter, what are the stoptech sports? haha

Spoke with a local tuning shop and this was the setup for pads he runs on his track built FRS. I didn't really ask why. My assumption is better pad for the front which is where the vast majority of stopping power comes from.

From StopTechs page:

StopTech® Sport Brake Pads (prefix 309)

Formerly known as Street Performance Pads

High MOT to Eliminate Fade

Excellent Actuation, Modulation and Release

Positive Molded for Uniform Friction Material

Scorched to Raise Initial Cold Effectiveness

Para-Aramid Composites for Linear Response

Dyno Proven Performance and Service Life

Lab-Developed Formulas with Strong Initial Bite

Ideal for Autocross and Light Track Day Use

Interesting. I've run the Stoptech street performance as my go-to streetable, autoxable, fun-able pad for a few years now and haven't ventured into the sport pads, as I've found the street performances to be plenty for my needs. Perhaps the sports would play nice with transfer layers between the two compounds...

The more I look at it the rears being called street performance and the Stoptech site saying the sport is formerly street performance, they are likely the same compound maybe just older packaging?

These have been sold to me. I just want to say that the seller shipped the pads out within hours of me sending him payment, and I received the pads two days later. Great seller! Thanks again
