2013 FR-S Front Bumper Cover VIN location

I recently purchased a used FR-S and despite doing as thorough of an inspect pre-sale that I could, I am beginning to get suspicions that the vehicle was previously in an accident despite none being on the CarFax (I know not all are reported). Is there anywhere on the front bumper cover that has a VIN? I checked my clean 2015 FR-S and wasn't able to find one as well. Any body shops have experience in locating the VIN for that body panel?

Darn, I was hoping that it would. Every other body panel has it (trunk, hood, fenders, doors, chassis), odd if the front bumper cover doesn't

Are you sure the parts have a "VIN" (Vehicle Identification Number) ..... not, just a part number ......??

Someone @Tcoat and/or @Ultramaroon help us out here ......

My nap is past due.

I was actually surprised that the US car has a vin sticker on the trunk lid since the Canadian ones do not.
From the little info I could find on the subject it would appear that only the major body panels/structural sections are stickered in the US. I highly doubt that the bumper covers will have one. They of course do not stick a vin on every single component of the car.

Do you have one on your trunk lid? Be just under the hole where the wires come though.

Don't know. I'd check right now but I'm currently in Thunder Bay, so that's a bit difficult.

I would assume they only put VIN stickers on metal body panels. The front and rear bumper covers are plastic...

No there is no VIN on either bumper but there will be a vin on the impact/crash beam. This would be your best bet to check. You will have to remove your front bumper to see the crash beam VIN plate... and you would probably see any/all damage on the crash beam if it was in an accident - otherwise the the beam could've been replaced, and the VINS wont match.
