WTB: Subaru BRZ 6MT (car)

Not picky about colour, would rather stay away from 2013s due to reliability issues but let me know what you've got anyways.

Absolutely no automatic transmissions.

Have a white 2013 (sport tech) with 30k kms on it. Has at least 20k in modifications from engine, exterior & interior including a jackson racing supercharger pushing 300whp+ on a dynojet. Have 90% of the oem parts as well. Can sell stock too. No issues with the car besides the stock power of 200hp and 0tq it once had.

Reason for selling: i want a gtr but i was toying with the idea of buying a suv and using brz as a track car but then i didnt want to have 3 cars so ideally looking to sell.

Anyways, pm if interested

What reliability issues did 2013 have? I have 71k and this has been one of the most reliable cars I've ever had...

*edit* and it's my 19th car, so that's saying a lot.

He probably means the ones made before early 2013 with the DI seals / transient spark table issue.

The updated flash fix from Toyota was from a March 2013 bulletin.

The stronger nuts and bolts were not revised until cars built starting in November 2013.

I have a 2014 that was built in August 2013.

I'm at 124k km's, and the only issues I've had were condensation in the tail light (warrantied without question) and now I have a bum coil pack (could be the dozens of track days ).

Mine is an early build 2013, I took delivery July 2012.

I believe mine is an August 2012 build, but I've never had any of these issues.

The car somehow only had 1000km on it when I picked it up in August 2014, but I got it through a Subaru dealer, so perhaps they did the bulletin already?

Sounds like you have an autoshow / showroom car.

If they sold it certified used they most likely flashed the computer already? Toyota said you can't trigger the condition unless you upshift rapidly at redline from 3rd / 4th / 5th gear. Mine is only street driven and I don't think I've even redline shifted it from 3rd more than a few times lol!

I was right there with you, buddy. I had an '07 and then an '08. Collectively between the 2 cars, I experienced pretty much every known issue that the N54 has, at least once.

I didn't have tail-light condensation on my BRZ, but then again my car sounds like it lived most of its life indoors before I got it, and then I switched to Tom's less than a week after I picked it up.

I think krayzie was right; potential auto show car.

Sorry for hijacking your thread, OP.

Didn't mean for this to turn into reliability debate but I've had rocker failure that caused a shit ton of damage, and I've heard many others have had the same with 2013s. (I might make a long post with pics about it later on, with how I fought for 3 months with Toyota Canada Inc to get reimbursed for a new FA20)

Tail light condensation is the least of my worries, if anything it's an excuse to get aftermarket ones.

But yea I don't care too much about the year, just gives me some psychological ease I guess that it's not a "first gen" with lots of problems.

Still looking for a reasonable deal.
