Ha ha, that's pretty funny and cool to see too. I've hit a fair number of cones with my car too.
I get what you are saying about the wide open area, hard to concentrate on exact line when you have so much room to play with. Lately I've been attending the local group that goes to a smaller and more technical track, and I've quite enjoyed it.

After installing camber plates, SPC cam bolts, and lower control arms this last weekend, my alignment was way out of whack. After the install my car felt like the back end would sway to one side then the other while driving straight down the road. And it would light up the TC like a strobe light just going around a long radius curve.
Check the before and after results, had them dial in as much camber as they could up front, and tried to get 0 in the rear:

Does anyone know what the best wheel set up (tire diameter and width) is to maximize appearance (filling the wheel well) without sacrificing performance in drifting?

What about a lowered suspension (How low can you go) before getting issues?

What do you guys recommend for LCAs for drifting, I don't want to go too cheap but not blow a fortune.

I just put on my new wheels which are 17x9 +25 with a 225/45 tire and they sit perfect. I don't have rLCA's yet but they don't rub or anything. I'm pretty damn low as well.

thanks! was curious how much camber and such i would need and was wondering if i would need to get adjustable everything just to fit them.
good to know! gonna order the wheels as soon as i get home from this 2 week underway... (navy). oh and im putting my stock 215's on them. i figure the extra stretch will help even more with clearance and should rub less if at all.

i mostly picked up the PBM stuff because
a) local san diego people
b) had their stuffs on my AE86 and loved it
c) super affordable!
d) love they have the lower mounting point so as to keep the axle a bit straighter
e) known them so long, i may or may not have gotten some freebies when i picked up my stuff haha

btw the PRO series rides super smooth! its my DD and almost feels stock! totally worth the extra $300.

In the thread for PBM love

BTW I have been drifting on 245/45/18's and those worked pretty well, but 215 make it way easier.

Nice! I'm on air lift performance bags, with the camber plates maxed out (suppose to be -3) and no rub up front. Rears are naturally cambered because I'm low, and still no rub. I didn't roll or pull my fenders either. They kinda did it themselves when I air out.

I completely agree on everything related to loving PBM (I also have the Pro coilovers and the LCAs), but just to clear out one thing:

The lower mounting point is only to allow for a longer coilover to maintain the full shock travel. Or to allow your PBM to slam your car to the ground while maintaining the full shock travel. It does NOT modify the axle angle at all. That's done with their Diff/subframe spacers/raisers or whatever they call them.

Just thought I'd make that clear, in case you go and slam your car, and the axle snaps, and you're there thinking why
