Every forum about cars has its lowering springs suck thread and the answer is always get coilovers. Yet, I have yet to see a round up of different springs vs different coilovers on a track.

I'd love to see if springs make a difference in lap times by a pro and if coilovers make a difference vs lowering springs.

@silver_Cervy there is a Hotchkis front strut bar for sale in Charlotte, and probably front and rear anti roll bars, if interested. Owner is going back to stock to sell the FR-S. Are you on the Charlotte 86 facebook page?

I'm pretty sure the point of coilovers is to get the whole package, struts and all, instead of buying each individual part from a different place. Another perk with coilovers is that all the parts have been built to work well with one another as an entire system.

If you're building a track car I'd definitely go in the direction of coilovers.

There are good springs and crappy springs.

Well....most of the time the cheap ones are built out of a parts bin. I've seen the same damper labeled for 4 different cars and that is not uncommon.
