1. Tint is first. Driver comfort is important.
2. Body mods. LED lights, clear side markers, debadging, shorty antenna, wheel spacers. 3. Drivetrain mods. New fluid, trans, diff, and shifter bushings, mtec shift springs. 4. Handling mods. RCE yellows, camber bolts, alignment, better tires. 5. Audio mods. Sub and amp, sound deadening. 6. Brake mods. Master cylinder brace, new fluid, new pads. 7. Power mods. Header, filter, and tune. |

My priority right now is
N1 Exhaust with Catless Front Pipe UEL Catted Header Open Flash Tablet (For Tune) GT Wing 4.88 Final Drive In that order. I might exclude the 4.88 Final Drive depending on how I feel about the car after the tune. I don't want to do forced induction or anything so I'd like to get some solid performance gains without it - as it stands the car is just lacking in the power department. I'm also debating just waiting to see if they ever release a faster version of the car (maybe 2018) No use throwing thousands of dollars on to mods just to get rid of the car after. Fact is I have been through too many FRS's as it stands. Sometimes I kick myself for not looking harder at the 370z, but then I realize that car is like 7 years behind and really lacks the same drive and quality this car has. If Toyota would just give this car another 50HP, some increased torque and remove the torque dip it would be perfect. It doesn't need 300 HP or anything like that, a solid 200 WHP would be enough, luckily we can come close to that without forced induction as it stands, but throwing an extra 3000$ on to this car just to make it perfect kind of sucks. I'm also hoping for a 7 speed AT at some point in this cars future. The AT as it stands (I actually enjoy it better than the MT version of this car, I've owned both and driven both over 50,000km) is great and responsive, but it needs to offer more close 0-60 times with the MT, a 1 second difference is unacceptable (this can be compensated for with gear change to some extent) but still it throws a lot of people who would otherwise consider the AT off from buying it. I can tell you right now, as fun as MT is, I would much rather drive this car in AT. |

When I bought mine I knew it would be a DD mostly, so:
Step 1: - Complete paint correction (thanks dealer for them swirlies!!) - Complete paint protection (Ceramic Pro II) - Darkest legal tint. - Drive, learn, enjoy. Then I got to the point where I was after faster cornering speed, so over the next couple years I did my second stage (takes me a while to save for anything, but I pay cash if possible): Step 2: - Seibon CF bonnet (not by choice...got into a minor accident and my panel beater mate got me this rather than a genuine). - Enkei RPF1 18" wrapped in FK453 tyres. - Tein coilovers. - AP Racing 4/2 calipers and DBA rotors - Bridgestone braided lines When I outgrow the new found turning/stopping power, and only then: Step 3: - Supercharge - Exhaust - 4.88 final drive - Intake - Tune (OFT) - Body bracing If I get more serious then I will look into making it more hardcore by making the interior not such a nice place to be. |

Priority Mods?
So far I've modded her to the way Toyota should've bought it here to the states:
Fully emblem rebadge to Toyota, TRD rep spoiler, Winjet Headlights, 5500K HIDs, K&N Drop In. Going to complete the full Toyota conversion with Toyota center caps and wheels locks next the Toyota emblem stickers that overlays scion center caps is starting to look tacky to me. Still on fence on Valenti's even though group buy is really tempting ugh decisions. I've enjoyed my DD and I like how you can mildly mod her and have rock solid reliability. Living in the Chicago area, the very first thing I did was get winter wheels. I found on Craigslist,a guy was parting out his '03 WRX. the stock wheels are a perfect match, and he already had Firestone Winterforce tires on them, and he sold them to me for super cheap.
For me,that was the only thing that could be classified as a "priority". Everything else has been, more or less, frivolous. I got the roof wrapped(for free),new summer wheels and tires, shark fin antenna, smoked Valenti tails,a new shift knob, and a spoiler. Only thing left is tints, plate relocator,TRD air filter, maybe new exhaust somewhere down the line. |

For me the priority was dropping the stock muffler and getting a Berk muffler delete, then plugging/deleting the sound induction tube.

Already started down this path but long ways to go:
Phase 1: > EL Header > Intake > Crankshaft Pulley > Tune Phase 1.5: > Shift Knob > Reverse Lockout > Shorty Antenna > Mud Flaps > Steering Wheel (*Maybe*) Phase 2: > GT Wing > Wheels & Tires (Summer set and secondary set on the OEM rims for these god damn New England winters) > Aero (*Maybe*) Phase 3: > Supercharger > Whatever else under the hood I need to get the supercharger stable > Re-Tune |

Phase 1, upon taking delivery -
1. Full tank of gas 2. Drive a lot 3. Plug stupid noise tube w/ glove-box lighter plug Phase 2 1. Full tank of gas 2. Drive a lot Phase 3 1. Install SARD seat covers front and back, 3dMaxpider floor mats, WeatherTec trunk line because canine friend, winter, and hauling keyboards, amps, and stands to gigs. 2. K&N Air Filter 3. Full tank of gas 4. Drive a lot Phase 4. Repeat Phase 2 for 10,000 miles. Decide that car is just fine the way it is. Will continue to add gas, change fluids, wash and wax, and perform routine maintenance w/ stock parts as necessary. |
