I'm curious as to how difficult it was to cut out the grooves for the locking mechanism of the 1157 socket. How did you go about doing it/was it difficult?

Cutting the hole too a proper size and then filing out cutouts for the locking nubs is definitely doable. It just requires more patience than I have. I didn't anticipate having to go back down there to fix the LED anytime so gooping it up wasn't a problem for me. Let me know if you have any other questions.

A little time with a dremel, and I cut notches for mine. They don't have to be precise, just not too big, so cut, and test fit, cut and test fit, so you don't over shoot.

Does anyone know where I can find detailed instructions on installing the ijdmtoy.com kit there are a couple videos on YouTube but they suck they always skip the wiring aspect of the install and if they do show some of the wiring steps they skip a lot of shit. Also the directions on their website are complete garbage. Please I need help.
