I'm at another career crossroad.

2 spots opened up on day shift, one being same schedule as current but simply day time. The other one is straight m-f. I can do the following:

- Switch back to days but I lose night time bonus (about 8k)
- Switch back to days going M-F, losing night time bonus + overtime because its straight 80 hours (about 11k).
- Keep current schedule and make what I would be making if I got promoted and working day shift.

I love the money, and the bonus does help push along my plans for the near future. But at the same time, I also feeling normal and hanging out with friends/family on weekends when I'm off rotation (every 2 weeks). Also, car related events such as autocross mostly happens on weekends. Gotta flip my sleep schedule to attend every event.

Dont want to leave current company because I am learning a lot due to what we do...

Oh, forgot to add that I put my name out there for promotion and if I were to get promoted while staying on nights, I'd get close to or possibly match 2 levels above current role's pay - which would further push me along with future goals.....

You can never get more time. Now is certainly an OK time to work the night shift, but if you discover someone on which to squander that extra money you may wish for the normal shift... if opportunities are common, maybe the next one. If they're rare..

Money isn't everything. I work days. I could go nights for $2 an hour. I work about 47 hours a week. I'd be happy to give up the $2 and overtime for more hours at home doing what I want. More time with my car, my gf, my gaming computer, my anime, and my gym. Car parts would take longer to buy... but id rather have time to enjoy the parts I have then simply buy more. We are dying. Every day since birth you've lost a day of life. I'd rather spend the time I have left living
