Not really a fan of the new tail lights personally. But I think they're an improvement over stock 13-16 models

I'm a huge fan of the MY 13-16 tail lights when painted red though

When can we expect reviews and more details on what changes they've made to the engine and exhaust manifold to come out? Early September is the estimated release date it seems.

That was the question I asked last week. Waiting impatiently for the first drive and full review articles from the media.

I am feeling that the car, specifically the engine, is not completely finalized and thus not ready for the press test drive. I've read in the UK forum that the UK market will not get any changes to the engine and so no power bump due to strict emission that FA20 has already reached the limit, or something alike...

May be Toyota/Subaru is trying the reconcile these differences between geographical markets.

Let's hope that they will not manage to have such a mess! They already specified different engine specs between manual and auto transmissions. If they change now the specs in the UK and the rest of Europe, then it will be a complete disaster. What else we know? That we 'll get a performance package with Sachs suspension and upgraded brakes. The Sachs suspension is not a new thing and the upgraded brakes is again a joke. We know that if you want better stopping power, first thing you change is the tires. Tires is what they stop you. The brakes were already big enough. Ironically, the tires in the performance package still remain the old ones.

I recall a year ago that there were again some intense relations between the two companies. There were questions about the future of the platform and discussions that Toyota is trying to find another manufacturer. Eventually they told us that the differences were sorted out. Let's hope all this situation to not have consequences in the future of the platform.

I recently found one big pro to this brembo upgrade. - They are official option. As i found out, if i want to pass local MOT inspection, i cannot do anything to brakes except pad swap & fluid change . Anything else, like two part disk install, braided lines install or even more so BKK install = immediate fail. So in that light they may find it's use, in countries with more anal inspection rules.

Yes because the small, former Soviet Bloc countries, are so very receptive to petitions against safety regulations I am sure.

If September 2016 is the unofficial release date then how come we haven't heard anything else yet? Certainly they would let big name producers test drive a pre-production model or something. Just really eager for more news and really impatient!

Subaru is notorious for not releasing much info until the last minute. More will come eventually.

Ok so every dealerships in my country (Italy) told me that the car has 200 hp, no 5 hp more so that may be true...

According to Wiki (the premier holy grail info site on the interweb):

--------------

Fuji Heavy Industries traces its roots to the Nakajima Aircraft Company, a leading supplier of airplanes to the Japanese government during World War II. At the end of World War II, Nakajima was broken up by the Allied Occupation government under keiretsu legislation, and by 1950 part of the separated operation was already known as Fuji Heavy Industries.

FHI was incorporated on July 15, 1953 when five Japanese companies, known as Fuji Kogyo, Fuji Jidosha Kogyo, Omiya Fuji Kogyo, Utsunomiya Sharyo and Tokyo Fuji Sangyo, joined to form one of Japan's largest manufacturers of transportation equipment.

By late 1980s, the company was a major supplier of military, aerospace and railroad equipment in Japan, but 80% of its sales came from automobiles. Sales in 1989 fell 15% to US$4.3 billion.[1] In 1990, the company faced a loss of over US$500 million. Industrial Bank of Japan Ltd., the main bank of the company, asked Nissan Motor which owned 4.2% of the company to step in. Nissan sent, Isamu Kawai, the president of Nissan Diesel Motor Co., to take charge of FHI.[2] In 1991, FHI started contract-manufacturing Nissan Pulsar (Nissan Sunny in Europe) sedans and hatchbacks.[3]
