I have used them, my brother has that exact wheel on his Evo. I can appreciate why people like them, I just dont personally like that type of wheel and dont think they suit newer cars.

Test drive the same car as FT86 Zero.....tested it around 12.30pm yesterday......the real thing look much more sexy / prettier than in the pic, not as small as i tot as we all know it is 4cm shorter than a corrola hatch .......the only sad thing is tested it in city, speed limit is 50km/h, doesn't test it seriously....nice driving position, very sharp n responsive steering control, nice sound, decent boot size......and i guess im still an old school manual guy, didn't enjoy much of the paddle shift, but it is brilliant, quick n u can feel the power from the engine ready for u once u down shift it, if u stop playing it, it just turn into "D" mode, normal drive like any other automatic car.....did a bit of sliding as we came across a T-junction as i down shift, big turn n heavy on gas, nice RWD indeed.....
booked with them for a city out skirt serious test in 2 more weeks time.
P/s : saw the silver GT as well, not bad at all and it is manual.....may be my next test should be manual, doesn't matter GTS or GT......

Good dealers will be able to deliver it with slimline plate mounts if you ask for em.

Well I have test driven and Auto GTS and today I saw a silver GT manual but did not test drive. I can honestly say the GT interior its not as bad as everyone makes it out to be. Sure its nice to have leather etc. we could go on and on and there are more GTS owners than GT. its plan functional works thats it.

I'll just have to test drive a manual first and go from there

Saw the GT 86 in teh flesh today as well at Five Dock Toytoa. Simply amazing.
I have to agree that car looks much better in the flesh than photos/images.

I absolutely love the front of the vehicle, nice agreessive (but not overly done) look. I really think it has a baby Lexus LFA look to it, and that's never a bad thing.

CANNOT WAIT TO GET MINE!

i inspected the front plate holder today and it's screwed down by 4 nuts. 2 on bumper and 2 on grill. it should be easy to remove but i am still wondering how to mount the slimline afterwards. can't work it out without a car tho.

step 1: remove number plate bracket from bumper
step 2: bolt on the numberplate
step 3: cut the visible parts of the bracket off

c'mon guys, wheres your sense of adventure?

I think dismantling a dealer show car isn't the best thing to do... :happy0180:

just went for a test drive in the GT86 MT. only got it to about 5500 rpm, to much traffic i like the sound of the car, steering is nice and heavy, clutch is soft-ish, over all visibility was really good i thought, at no point did i think oh shit, blind spot. the MT is a very short throw, the reverse lever to pull up is a little to low down the stick but i doubt it will bother me after a few weeks of driving.
At my comfortable seating arrangement the rear passengers would have to be amputee's :| I will be leaving the back seats down most the time i'd say.
Steering & handling is wow, point and go.

took a couple of pics
